Candy maker The Fini Company, headquartered in Spain,, has released this animated short, Fallin’ in Love, produced by Zombie Studio, São Paulo, Brazil, and New York. The film blends humor, charm, and emotional depth to address an increasingly urgent topic: the lack of human connection in a screen-dominated world.
Directed by Paulo Garcia, the story follows a young Cupid tasked with bringing together Noah and Emma, two strangers who pass each other every day on the subway but remain oblivious to one another due to their constant phone use. To succeed in his mission, the little archer will need both creativity and a touch of boldness.
“Fallin’ in Love reflects the world we live in and reminds us how important it is to reconnect with each other on a human level. We’re letting meaningful moments slip away because of information overload and excessive screen time,” said Pablo Moreno, global CMO of The Fini Company. “The short film captures Fini’s essence and the message we want to share with the world: to create joy through true and joyful encounters.”
Director Garcia, co-founder of Zombie Studio, said, “From the start, our goal was to approach this project with an entertainment-first mindset rather than traditional advertising, rooted in Fini’s brand values and core message. In that sense, the script was a gift--it allowed us to tell a story and spark reflection on today’s society in a light, uplifting way, without relying on product-centric messaging. I believe that’s the secret to this film and what makes it so special.”
With an original score composed by Bumblebeat--featuring musicians from Europe, the United States, and Brazil--Fallin’ in Love is available on Fini’s YouTube and... Read More
