Tor Myhren, Vice President of Marketing Communications at Apple, and Matt Miller, President and CEO of AICP.

Featuring a Fireside Chat with Apple’s Tor Myhren, VP of Marketing Communications

    SAN FRANCISCO -- (SPW) --

The AICP Awards tour heads to the Bay Area on September 29th with a special presentation at The Exploratorium: In Conversation with Tor Myhren: Elevating the Apple Brand Through Craft, Creativity & Humanity.

The AICP Awards Tour travels globally, offering the opportunity to see selected pieces from the suite of AICP Awards competitions, and hear discussion and insights about the work. These panels and conversations – unique to each venue – focus on the winning work, and may include Curators and Judges from the awards.

Tor Myhren, Vice President of Marketing Communications at Apple, sits down with Matt Miller, President and CEO of AICP, for a fireside chat about the enduring power of well crafted storytelling and human connection that has grown their product-lines and been continuously recognized by the industry.

For the past several years, Apple has been among the most recognized brands in the AICP Awards, topping the list as the most awarded brand since 2023. This year saw 10 wins across the AICP Show – including Advertising Excellence (Best of Show) for “Flock” – as well as three wins in the AICP Next Awards and two in the AICP Post Awards. Myhren served as an AICP Show Curator this year (he was recused from voting on Apple work), but was instrumental to helping shape the Show.

The event kicks off at 6 pm with a happy hour, followed by the presentation at 7 pm, and concludes with a reception. The Exploratorium is located at Pier 15 on The Embarcadero. Tickets are available now; for more information, click here.

The San Francisco event is the second stop on this year’s AICP Awards National Tour, after a sold-out event in Los Angeles in July. The next stops on the Tour include Mexico City (November 4th), Dallas (November 5th), and Chicago (November 20th). For more details on these events, go to https://www.aicp.com.

Sponsors help make all the AICP awards competitions and events possible. AICP Partners and Supporting Partners, who support all AICP events throughout the year, are Cast & Crew; Musicbed + Filmsupply; Universal Production Services; Wrapbook; Catch+Release; Film Hawaii; NEED Financial Services; Saturation.io; Sony Pictures Studios; and Warner Bros.

The list of 2025 AICP Awards Sponsors Benefactors includes: 1Park9; Apache Digital; Aspen Travel; Audio Spectrum; AwardCore; Be Electric; BIG Digital; Colorlab; Cutters; Directors Guild of America; Ellenoff Grossman & Schole LLP; Framestore; Heard City; Human; IDC; Istros Media Corporation; JMR Equipment Rentals; Kodak Motion Picture Film; LBBonline – Little Black Book; Optimus; Republic; SDN; SHOOT Magazine / SHOOTonline; Source Shots Slate; TCS, Inc.; WORK Editorial; and XR-NY.

The 2025 AICP Awards Patrons include The Roots Production Services; SAG AFTRA; and Voices.

Framestore created the graphics and design language for all three competitions, with music and sound design produced by Human. All showreel editing was performed by Cutters. Established in 1992, The AICP Show is the most important advertising showcase in the U.S. dedicated to excellence in craft. The AICP Post Awards, which debuted in 2001, honors excellence in a wide range of post production crafts and disciplines. And the AICP Next Awards, launched in 2007, highlights the winners of the 12 Next categories, which honor innovative marketing communications. Each show in the AICP Awards Suite is housed in The Museum of Modern Art’s Department of Film’s state of the art archives for future generations to study and are available for use or exhibition by the museum’s curators.

Honorees of the AICP Show, The AICP Next Awards and The AICP Post Awards are preserved in The Museum of Modern Art’s Department of Film’s state of the art archives for future generations to study and are available for use or exhibition by the museum’s curators. The entirety of the archive can be viewed at https://aicpawards.com.

2025 Camp K Lev Winners Announced

    Tuesday, December 2, 2025
2024 & 2025 Camp K Lev Winners at The AICP Awards Chicago (L-R): Waner Zhang, Uppercut; Lucas Hansa, Another Country; Cliff Fitch, Cutters Studios; Zoltan Monori, Heard City; Marly Koven, Flavor; Thomas Sheriff, Whitehouse Post

The Camp Kuleshov trailer competition for emerging creative artists in post production – a.k.a. Camp K – has announced the winners of its Grand Prizes in the categories of Editing, Graphics, Sound Design and Music Score. Lev winners are selected from among the first prize winners in each category from each region. The Lev honor is for Lev Kuleshov, the noted Russian filmmaker and editor who developed the Kuleshov effect and is considered a pioneer in the editing craft. The Lev Awards were chosen from among the first-place winners in the Camp K competition held in the East/Southeast, Midwest and West/Southwest regions. Designed to give emerging talent a chance to heighten their creative and craft problem-solving skills while also gaining access to invaluable mentorship opportunities, Camp K asks entrants to take existing films and re-imagine trailers for them as something new and different. Lev winners were presented with their trophies at the 2025 AICP Awards in Chicago, as were the 2024 winners. Going forward, the Lev honor will be bestowed immediately following the Camp K Regional competitions, with the Lev being presented at the Chicago event. The Lev winner for Editing went to Thomas Sheriff of Whitehouse Post for his trailer for “About Time,” reimagining the romantic time travel comedy as a psychological thriller. The piece won first place in the East/Southeast competition. For Graphics, Waner Zhang of Uppercut won the Lev for her opening title sequence for the film “Inside Llewyn Davis.”  It won first place in the... Read More
