    Veteran Hollywood Publicist Dan Harary Celebrates the 25th Anniversary Milestone of his Asbury PR Agency During October 2021

    The Asbury PR Agency, Inc., a noted, boutique, entertainment and lifestyle industries public relations agency launched on 10/01/96 by veteran publicist Dan Harary, will mark its 25th Anniversary on October 1, 2021.

    The Asbury PR Agency is currently representing the legendary Musso & Frank Restaurant in Hollywood; Megatrax Music– the world’s leading independent production music studio; the multi-Emmy Award-winning MastersFX special character and makeup effects studio; Legacy Entertainment – a leading designer of themed attractions around the world; Andrew Jones Auctions, a premiere LA-based artworks and antiques auctioneer; the soon to debut First Annual Dome Fest West festival presenting full-dome/360-degree films from around the globe; Jazz guitarist Bruce Forman and his tribute to Barney Kessel music project; the soon to launch Voices of Classic Rock Archive of historic rock star interviews and radio programs; the RM 15 Creative marketing agency; and the Fight Back Venice! Organization, among others.

    “Wow, 25 years! It’s been quite a ride,” Harary said. “The past quarter century really went by in a flash. My team and I have been so fortunate to have survived every conceivable obstacle in our path, including the dot-com “bubble burst,” a devasting fire, several client bankruptcies, an employee death, a bank account hack, and even a global pandemic! We’re like the ‘Energizer Bunny’ – somehow, not only are we still here, but we’re actually going stronger than ever, thanks to our terrific, versatile and resilient clients.”

     “I never could have imagined, back in 1996, that we would still be standing 25 years later,” Harary adds. “We’ve handled so many hundreds of clients since our launch, working within every conceivable aspect of the entertainment and leisure industries.”

    Historically, The Asbury PR Agency’s clients have included dozens of top digital and special FX studios; TV and film production and post-production houses; SIGGRAPH; the Hollywood Film Festival; the Animé Expo; the Genii Awards; the Israel Film Festival; the World Animation Celebration; several indie and Oscar-nominated films; the very first two animated cartoon series on the web – one from Tim Burton, the other from John K, creator of “Ren & Stimpy;” numerous music production studios; animation companies; creative advertising and marketing agencies, top TV promo shops and movie trailer houses; almost every major broadcast design studio; live theatrical presentations; concerts; theme-park attractions; and individual performers including musicians, singers, actors, bands, comedians and supermodels; along with countless other projects and events, both large and small.

    “More recently, we expanded our reach into the lifestyle arena, having represented clients such as famous restaurants, with Musso & Frank as our marque client in that space,” Harary explains. “We’ve also taken on art galleries, fine artists, and art exhibits; books and authors; lawyers and law firms; new product launches; and even the daughter of Hans Holzer, the world’s very first, real-life ‘Ghostbuster!’ As long as there are talented individuals and interesting companies around the U.S. that need to spread the word about their latest project, show, event, festival or release, we’ll be here,” Harary concludes.

    Prior to launching The Asbury PR Agency, Harary, between 1980 and 1996, held in-house positions with Columbia Pictures, the American Film Institute, the Playboy Channel, Columbia Pictures Television, the Solters/Roskin/Friedman PR agency and the Lippin Group PR agency. Harary graduated from Boston University’s School of Public Communications in May 1978 with a BS Degree in Communications.

    Union partner and editor Marco Perez brings a restrained, emotionally precise approach to “Sticky Note,” a Super Bowl 2026 commercial that transforms a simple gesture into a powerful act of allyship. Created by VML, the ad was directed by Jake Scott and produced by RSA for Blue Square Alliance Against Hate. The piece follows a Jewish teenager targeted by a slur, only to find support from a Black classmate who replaces hate with a blue square, signaling empathy, shared experience, and resolve. Perez’s work is supported by Union Editorial New York’s team, including Managing Director Caryn Maclean, Executive Producer Melissa Lubin, Assistant Editor Nico Gilmore, Head of Production Lily Hartmann, and Assistant Producer Francesca Raimondi.
