Caroline Gomez, Director of Business Development, Big Block

Gomez, Formerly With Motion Theory/Mirada, Will Drive New Opportunities at a Transformational Time for Big Block

Santa Monica, CA -- (SPW) --

As it unifies all of its divisions and new ventures under a single identity, Big Block’s Managing Director Kenny Solomon has announced the creation of a business development initiative which will span the company’s bicoastal locations.

In a newly created role, Caroline Gomez, Director of Business Development, will operate from Big Block’s Santa Monica studio and will also work closely with executive producer Corwin Carroll at Big Block’s New York location.

Big Block has expanded and diversified exponentially since its inception in 2011 and now creates, produces and distributes media and content for commercials, interactive, television, feature films and Broadway theater, with several digital entertainment ventures in development. Big Block’s designers, live action directors and artists have been recognized with an AICP Next Award, a One Show Bronze Pencil Award, a PromaxBDA Award, a Bessie Best of Show Award and an Emmy Award® nomination.

Primary goals for Gomez, who is known for her extensive industry networks and track record, will be to identify new business opportunities and synergies to maximize Big Block’s resources and drive sales. She will also manage relationships with agencies, creatives and brands and promote Big Block through social media and at events, award shows and conferences.

Gomez comes to Big Block from an impressive fourteen-year tenure as Director of Marketing at Motion Theory. One of the first hires at Motion Theory, Gomez worked directly with the founders to grow the company from a design studio into a content-driven production powerhouse. She also helped to launch Motion Theory’s sister company, Mirada.

Gomez has forged long-standing relationships with a diverse array of clients, which include high-profile advertising agencies, top music labels and internationally renowned brands such as Audi, AT&T, Disney, Nike, Under Armour, Lexus, IBM, Maytag and Discovery Networks.

During her tenure, Motion Theory and Mirada’s work were honored with many accolades, including Cannes Lions, CLIO Awards, AICP Next Awards, Art Directors Club Awards, Grammy® Awards, VMA Awards, D&AD Pencils and an Emmy Award.

Of her new role, Gomez said, “This is such an exciting time for me to join Big Block. Their growth potential is tremendous. I look forward to working with everyone at the studio to help forge new partnerships and target new opportunities.”

“This is a transformational time for Big Block,” Solomon said. “Caroline really understands our space and how we are positioned for the future. Her awareness of the industry and ability to build relationships will enable her to pursue opportunities and communicate the value of all that Big Block has to offer clients and brands.”

Frame Theory Brand Refresh Embodies Creative Film Company’s Evolution

    Thursday, November 6, 2025
Examples of the new wordmark for Frame Theory, an award-winning creative film company specializing in multi-platform, human-centered storytelling for global brands.

The award-winning creative film company Frame Theory (formerly: The Frame Theory) has refreshed its brand, unveiling new visuals and positioning that reflect its evolution as a trusted storytelling partner. The refresh comes as Frame Theory refines its capabilities to serve a changing industry, after building a reputation for helping such recognized names as KEEN Footwear, Elijah Craig Bourbon and Alzheimer’s Association tell their stories through brand films, commercial spots and digital mediums. Watch a highlight reel HERE. “Just as the industry has evolved, so have we – the way we engage with brands and the creative strategy we bring to each project,” explained Frame Theory executive producer Sarah Nix-Ward, who founded the company alongside partner & creative director Brandon M. Ward. “It was time that our own brand more clearly represented those changes.” To take on this project, the team commissioned artist Brian Steely (Steely Works Brand Design), who is known for his iconic designs for Nike, Element Skateboards and other global consumer brands and touring bands. Steely created Frame Theory’s original raven logo almost a decade ago, which he updated with a modern, simple and yet sleek vibe before dropping “The” from the wordmark. “In many cultures around the world, the raven is considered the bringer of light, so we’ve always felt that was an appropriate mark for a filmmaking company,” said Brandon. “We wanted to keep the raven, yet evolve it for this refresh.” The additional assets Steely created nod to Frame Theory’s style of cinematic naturalism,...
