    Boris FX Continuum 2025

The 2025 release adds instant, accurate ML-driven motion blur, automatic license plate detection, four new transitions, and 200+ curated presets.

    MIAMI -- (SPW) --

Boris FX announces the release of Continuum 2025, which strengthens its machine-learning capabilities with a growing list of creative effects and innovative tools. The award-winning plugin collection now includes six internally developed, ethically trained ML-driven effects that streamline workflows and save artists valuable time. Continuum 2025 is available with subscription pricing starting at $195/year.

“Continuum’s two new ML effects take tasks that are traditionally tricky, applying dynamic motion blur to live action shots and concealing license plate identifiers, and provides users with speedy and accurate one-click solutions,” says Boris Yamnitsky, President and Founder of Boris FX. “The addition of Motion Blur ML and License Plate ML highlights Continuum’s continuing push towards developing ML-driven post-production tools that take the guesswork out of laborious tasks while ensuring artists maintain their creative freedom.”

“Continuum 2025’s standout effect is Motion Blur ML. Its machine-learning optical flow only blurs the moving section of a shot, isolating and leaving untouched sections with none or less motion,” states Ra-ey Saleh, offline & online editor (Discovery, TLC, HGTV). “It’s perfect for any type of production, making it easy to add an extra layer of realism or more in-your-face stylization to video and text.”

    ML Technology
BCC+ Motion Blur ML uses a sophisticated ML algorithm to instantly detect pixel movement and apply realistic motion blur to video and motion graphics. Users can adjust blur intensity and direction (forward, backward, or a combination) or even apply motion blur from one source to another.

BCC+ License Plate ML automatically scans a scene for vehicles and instantly obscures alphanumeric identifiers. Options such as Blur, Mosaic, Brightness/Contrast, and Tint can be applied individually or combined. Built-in Mocha masking provides users with complete customization control.

    Transitions and Effects
The Transitions category adds four new drag-and-drop transitions with BCC+ Smoke & Fog, available as both a dissolve and wipe, BCC+ Smoke Wipe, BCC+ Atmospheric Glow Dissolve, and BCC+ Orbs Dissolve.

The popular Key & Blend and Film Style categories include updated GPU-accelerated effects that deliver fast speeds.

Key & Blend gives users multiple options to easily key and garbage mask green screen footage with BCC+ Linear Color Key, BCC+ Two Way Keyer, and BCC+PixelChooser tools.

Film Style adds BCC+Grain, which allows users to apply photorealistic soft or hard film grain to video, and 20+ new sprite/texture options to BCC+ Smoke & Fog and BCC+ Atmospheric Glow (also included in the transition versions of both effects).

Particle Illusion gives users greater motion graphics flexibility with the ability to copy and paste color gradients, alpha gradients, and particle images (sprites) between particle-type nodes.

Continuum 2025 also adds 200+ curated presets across many effect categories. Users can apply presets as is or quickly customize them to their liking.

    Workflow Improvements
Continuum 2025 now fully supports the Fusion page in DaVinci Resolve, bringing its comprehensive suite of visual effects tools into Resolve’s node-based workflow. Fusion’s extensive 2D and 3D capabilities allow artists to seamlessly create cinematic-quality effects and motion graphics and tackle simple shot repairs.

The custom FX Editor, which allows users to select, modify, and save presets, is also updated to boost performance and enhance workflows. A new image caching system delivers faster playback of filtered results and makes refining looks quicker and more user-friendly.

    Pricing & Availability
Continuum is a plugin with monthly/annual subscriptions, upgrade & support plans, and permanent licenses. Host application support includes Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, Foundry Nuke, Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve and Fusion, and VEGAS Pro. See pricing.

Continuum customers on active subscriptions or upgrade & support plans receive the 2025 product release as a complimentary update. Learn more about Continuum.

Reimagined Audio Engine In Boris FX Samplitude Delivers Greater Processing Power

    Thursday, April 16, 2026
    Boris FX Samplitude 2026

Samplitude 2026 is now available from the award-winning team at Boris FX. The major update gives music production and audio professionals access to a more streamlined workflow with greater technical and creative flexibility. The new features, including smarter CPU management, an improved VST3 audio engine for low-latency recording, a video engine supporting 4K video playback, and the ability to remotely trigger Samplitude’s controls over a network, allow users to record, edit, mix, and master more efficiently and accurately than ever before. “Samplitude 2026 is built to keep you focused on what matters most, staying creative. The optimized audio engine ensures sessions run smoothly,” states Patrick Donohoe, director of product marketing, Pro Audio, at Boris FX. “The new video engine supports modern codecs and seamless playback, so you can concentrate on the project instead of file conversions and audio sync. OSC remote support lets you stay in control — and in the moment — even away from your computer. The new features offer massive time savings while keeping users in their inspired flows.” “Samplitude has been my go-to DAW for over 20 years. The 2026 release is an important step forward,” says Kraznet, recording/mixing engineer (Morgan Studios, Rolling Stones mobile studio) and YouTube trainer. “The redesigned audio engine makes low-latency recording and playback a breeze, and you can now work with GPU-accelerated 4K video directly inside your project. These are huge improvements. Samplitude’s future under Boris FX looks very positive.” New Features Samplitude... Read More
