    "Last Resorts"

With music by BUTTER Music and Sound, BETTER Studios presents bunker living for the rest of us.

    LOS ANGELES -- (SPW) --

In the deal of an “end time”, BETTER Studios debuted Last Resorts, the world’s first climate apocalypse timeshare, at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

A hospitality experience for the end of the world, Last Resorts offers a more climate-controlled life—for as long as you can afford it. Tucked 50 feet underground in reinforced steel bunkers, residents enjoy endless virtual sunsets and all-you-can-eat freeze-dried cuisine (per your monthly ration).

Produced by BETTER Studios, with direction from Kristyna Archer, BUTTER Music and Sound set the tone with upbeat shopping network-style tracks, paired with sound design from Eleven Sound, edited by Andrew Ratzlaff at Cabin, VFX from JAMM, and additional AI support from Illumedia Studio.

The fictional brand served as the centerpiece of a film, installation, and immersive experience imagining a near future where climate stability has become an amenity and survival has been repackaged as a premium membership offering, explorable online at WWW.LASTRESORTS.NET or via phone at 1-877-LAS-RSRT (1-877-527-7778).

“For years we’ve read about billionaires building bunkers, buying islands, and prepping for an uncertain future,” said Ben Becker, founder of BETTER Studios. “What about everybody else? Last Resorts imagines the moment bunker living goes mass market…with manageable monthly payments.”

The film premiered at Cannes Lions on Thursday, June 25, 2026, followed by a 30-minute presentation by Ben, and featured a cabana check-in desk, vacation apparel made from upcycled waste streams, and limited-edition collectibles like Last Resorts Bingo, “the only game where everybody’s guaranteed to lose.”

“Most dystopias are designed to be escaped,” Becker continues. “Last Resorts was designed to be booked. The unsettling part? We didn’t have to look very far past the present to inspire the brochure.”

The campaign follows an evolving slate of climate change activism and organized industry climate advocacy at Cannes Lions, partnering with the event itself to rally against the ever-pressing impact of climate change.
