Lauren DeFelice, Head of Production - Carbon
    NEW YORK -- (SPW) --

Creative production studio Carbon has named Lauren DeFelice as their new Head of Production. Before joining Carbon, Lauren held roles at The Mill, Framestore, Hornet, and Animal Logic, producing award-winning work with a focus on world class design, animation, VFX, and CG along the way.

“We're thrilled to have Lauren and her rich experience at Carbon,” says the studio’s MD Phil Linturn. “Lauren is known for her calm and controlled management style, but she is also one of the most upbeat, positive people you’ll ever meet, with a passion for great visuals and storytelling. She’s a wonderful mentor for the production team, and a reliable partner for our clients across brands, agencies, and directors.”

“Vital for a multi-disciplined studio like Carbon, Lauren can oversee any project from creative pitch through to delivery. We're particularly glad to have someone with her expertise working with our in-house Carbon directors across live action and animated campaigns.”

On her new gig, Lauren says, “I’m hugely excited to be in such a creative space working side by side with directors, artists, and producers who are driven and passionate about the work we produce! For our clients – we are here to collaborate, support, and push boundaries past what they maybe didn’t even know was possible. I want them to come to us knowing their vision is first and foremost the most important piece, and we will continue to push ideas to another level.”

Lauren has managed major campaigns for brands including Verizon, Spotify, and Meta, while her TV and features work includes The Guilded Age (HBO), Ice Age, Rio, and the LEGO franchise blockbusters ‘The LEGO Batman Movie’ and ’The LEGO Ninjago Movie.’ All projects that allowed her love of “storytelling that puts a smile on your face” to shine.

Morgan & Morgan’s “Power Move” Campaign Makes A Splash With a Merman Lifeguard

    Monday, August 3, 2026
    Still image from "Merman"

Morgan & Morgan continues its unique, comedic approach to legal advertising with the latest installment of its national “Power Move” campaign. The firm's newest spot “Merman,” dives headfirst into the absurd and surfaces with the same sharp wit that has defined the campaign from the start.   The spot opens at a public pool, zooming in on the unlikely lifeguard on duty. He watches over the pool with the calm confidence of someone who was literally born for this job. The twist: he’s a merman. When a woman suddenly finds herself in “distress”, the merman lifeguard springs into action, diving into the pool and cutting effortlessly through the water to her rescue. Equal parts heroic and completely unhinged, the spot closes with the merman gliding her to safety followed by a perfectly timed dolphin call.   The campaign’s trademark closer quickly follows: “Having a merman as your lifeguard is a power move. Hiring America's largest injury law firm after an injury? That's a power move, too.” Read More
