As CFO, Marissa will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the company’s finances. She will also be overseeing charlieuniformtango’s Human Resources activities.

    DALLAS -- (SPW) --

James Rayburn, charlieuniformtango owner/CEO, announced Marissa LaCour has been named Chief Financial Officer.

As CFO, Marissa will be responsible for performing and managing financial actions of the company, managing financial planning and budgets, acting as liaison with bankers, insurers, accountants, and other vendors regarding financial transactions, plus spearheading charlieuniformtango Human Resources activities to improve communication, efficiency and streamline processes.

Marissa was born in Lafayette, Louisiana and lived in Nigeria, Africa for two years. She brings 20 years of financial experience to her role as CFO, previously working as bookkeeper/operations manager in the advertising industry and most recently as a CPA working with small businesses and individuals. She graduated from UT Arlington in 2004 with a BA in finance and earned her master’s in professional accounting from UT Arlington in 2014. She received her CPA certification from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy in 2016.

“My husband, Deedle LaCour, is an owner/senior editor of charlieuniformtango, so I’ve felt like a member of the Tango family for 20 years,” Marissa says.  “I’m excited to be officially on board. I’ve known James for as long as I’ve known Deedle – we’ve been friends since we were teenagers.  I had the opportunity to work with them as a producer on the music documentary “FILMAGE” that we released in 2014. We learned then that we worked well as business partners, so this seemed like a very natural move. I’m excited to modernize all the accounting and financial processes to make things as efficient and successful as possible. When things run smoothly internally, clients benefit.”

James concludes, “Spend any time at all with Marissa and you’ll see how much she loves a challenge, that’s a great trait to have in this industry. She helped us manage the financial details when Deedle, Joey, and I purchased Tango, and we had no doubt she’d be a valuable addition to our executive team.  Besides her accounting skills, she’s also brilliant at strategizing. Knowing things are running efficiently internally, we’re each able to concentrate on doing our best work for our clients. She’s a perfect fit for our team as we go into the future, and we’re so glad she agreed to join us.”

Sound Lounge Welcomes Mixer and Sound Designer Nicole Pettigrew

Mixer and Sound Designer Nicole Pettigrew

Sound Lounge has expanded its commercial roster with the addition of mixer and sound designer Nicole Pettigrew, who brings more than a decade of experience, a passion for sound design and a highly collaborative approach to her work. Pettigrew joins Sound Lounge following five years at PS260, where she established and led the company's in-house audio department as its sole audio engineer. Her work spans campaigns for brands including American Express, MLB, T-Mobile, New Balance, Titleist, David Yurman and DraftKings. She also mixed Gucci's 2024 AICP Best in Show-winning campaign. Prior to PS260, Pettigrew spent nine years at PLUSHnyc. A lifelong musician, Pettigrew brings a musical ear to her work and particularly gravitates toward projects that allow her to experiment with sound. Her approach pairs a traditional studio foundation rooted in listening, communication and client experience with an eagerness to explore new ideas and push the creative possibilities of a project. “The best sessions feel like a real collaboration,” says Pettigrew. “I want clients to feel like I’m part of their team, listening to their vision and then interpreting it, building on it and helping push the idea further. You’re handed all of these individual pieces, and I love the problem-solving that goes into figuring out how they fit together. There’s something really satisfying about getting to the end, stepping back and realizing you helped bring someone’s idea fully to life.” Pettigrew's arrival also reunites her with Sound Lounge...
