    NEW YORK -- (SPW) --

The New York based production company often referred to by its shorthand, LAIR has boasted seamlessly integrated production since its inception. This was a no-brainer for us, especially since many of our directors are creative swiss army knives that work in post. Still, this new venture is about letting this exceptional division we have been building stand on its own two feet. Post has never been an afterthought for us, but more often than not it is packaged as that's been our model. As we've grown, we see an undeniable need in the market for our skills, understanding and care, and love of the craft. We think it's time to share this on a bigger scale with a broader client range, so here we are taking the necessary steps to bring this dream to life.

Theresa Loguercio, Partner and Head of Production at LAIR will be stepping into the role of Executive Producer at The Lodge. Newly acquired Lead Editor, Simone Cassas will oversee editorial projects. Simone is an integral part of this new team having two decades of experience in every format and genre imaginable. Her sophisticated eye, collaborative nature, and attention to detail will set the course for a smooth process. Editor, Sol Raxlen who has built his reel with LAIR and is responsible for much of our recent work, will be working alongside her building upon what we've created. Founding Partner and Director, Thor Raxlen and Partner and Executive Producer, Mark Aji will continue helming The Collective @ LAIR ship as well as overseeing operations at The Lodge. All New business will be handled by Partner and VP of Business Development, Kelly Carson, and Business Development Executive, Simone Burton.

    A word with the team
Theresa Loguercio, Executive Producer said "I’m really excited to help launch The Lodge. Post/Edit has always been our secret weapon at LAIR. Now we want to share this with the outside World by opening our doors at The Lodge."

Simone Cassas, Lead Editor said "I love storytelling, and at Lair I feel I've joined a team that feels exactly the same way I do. The past three months have been amazing." Simone adds "At Lair, we strive to deliver a powerful message with each job, created with a team effort. The client's needs always come first and creativity is the main focus. Having the chance to be present at the start of The Lodge with Theresa and Sol has been very inspiring. This feels like a place where I can focus on creative editing, a place where I will be able to grow a step further in the post-production process – to learn and exchange ideas.Films and art are my fuel; creative storytelling is my passion."

Stephen Arnold Music Creates Sonic Branding For Sports Programming on Gray Media

    Tuesday, May 13, 2025
Gray Media tapped Stephen Arnold Music to create sonic branding for sports programming.

Stephen Arnold Music (SAM) created sonic branding and custom music for Gray Media’s newly launched slate of Atlanta Braves baseball games. The package includes an original score, featuring all live orchestration, providing Gray Media with a strong and distinct sonic identity as a sports broadcaster and distribution partner. The three-minute theme has a modular structure that makes it easily adaptable to a range of programming and marketing media.  It is also designed to complement original graphics produced for the broadcasts. In addition to the simulcasts, the music will be used with Gray Media’s Braves Fastball highlights show, airing the day after most games. The new theme music is bold and energetic with live orchestration - featuring strings, brass and French horns as well as live drums, electric guitars and bass. “Our goal was to create a theme that sonically defines Gray Media as a sports content provider and to serve as the basis for a full broadcast package,” says SAM president and creative director Chad Cook. “The long-form theme includes multiple sections to provide music bed variations to accompany the range of dynamics needed over the course of a game broadcast. It also features a variety of melodic statements and musical flourishes within the arrangement that can be edited out for idents, short bumps and interstitials, the whole gamut.” Additionally, the sonic branding is designed to be expanded to future Gray Media sports broadcasts and promotions. “It’s adaptable to an array of sports programming,” observes Cook. “Our intention is to create a consistent sonic signature and identity across diverse sports programming and markets that fans immediately associate with the Gray Media sports brand.” About...
