    Behind the Camera House

The House is announcing an afternoon of community, conversation, and networking

    NEW YORK -- (SPW) --

The “Behind the Camera House” heads to New York City for a one-day summit activation during this year’s Tribeca Festival. The event will bring together industry professionals, creatives, and media for a special afternoon of conversation and connection through insightful panel discussions and networking opportunities featuring creatives from around the world. Taking place on Friday, June 6, 2025, the summit is produced by Impact24 PR, co-hosted by People’s Television, and led by programmer Jocelyne Roman. The event will take place at the production offices of People’s Television.

The day begins at 3:30 p.m. ET with the “Lens on Change: Storytelling as Social Commentary” panel. This panel will explore how filmmakers use documentaries and narrative films as powerful tools for social commentary, driving conversation, and inspiring change. Featured panelists are composer Alain Emile (Esta Isla), composer Prateek Rajagopal (In The Current Being), writer/executive producer/podcaster Shannon Burkett (LEAD: How This Story Ends is Up to Us / End Lead Poisoning), and director Nicholas Bruckman (The Price of Milk; co-founder/CEO of People’s Television). Executive Producer at Shade Studios and Host at ShadeTV, Marissa Hill, will be moderating the conversation.

The second panel, “Bold Voices: Expanding the Narrative in Feature Filmmaking,” will bring together creatives whose bold, diverse stories span genres and themes, highlighting the power of inclusive storytelling in today’s cinema. Featured panelists are costume designer Brittany Ann Cormack (She Dances), composer Freya Berkhout (Ride or Die), and editor Sara Newens (Marlee Matlin: Not Alone Anymore). SKASKA founder Sonya Klinger will be moderating the conversation.

Following the panels, the Behind the Camera House will host a networking mixer, allowing all guest speakers and attendees to connect with like-minded professionals and creatives in town for the 2025 Tribeca Festival.

Impact24 PR is an entertainment public relations agency specializing in empowering behind-the-camera creatives, esteemed industry leaders, and visionary content creators.
