Director / Designer Utsab Giri has joined MUGSY for exclusive U.S. representation spanning commercials and branded content.
Utsab is an award-winning visual creator who specializes in projects that call for high design elements. His work often combines a multitude of disciplines, including live-action, CG design, motion graphics, and state-of-the-art post production techniques.
A director, designer, editor, animator, and VFX artist, Utsab brings a unique skill set to his commercial work. His ability to oversee and execute all elements of a project allows him to create films that are truly his own vision.
“You have to see it to believe it!” MUGSY Executive Producer Sean Reilly says about Giri’s work. “Utsab has that rare gift of not only being able to imagine a world, but also create it. His artistic vision, technical prowess and attention to detail allows him to seamlessly combine live action and CG into a film where the lines between both worlds is removed and the final result is truly mesmerizing.”
In addition to his broadcast and digital work, Utsab also has experience with Virtual Reality, having created both VR versions of his broadcast spots and unique VR experiences.

Ilene Silberman, MUGSY’s Head of Sales, first encountered Giri’s work and began the conversation that led him to join MUGSY. “I was wowed by Utsab’s reel, and further impressed after my first conversation with him,” explains Silberman. “I felt he was a natural fit for the MUGSY family, both creatively and personally.”
Utsab recently won three 2024 Communicator Awards for his work and has been featured as part of SHOOT Magazine’s New Directors Showcase. He has also won several Telly Awards, W3 Awards, and Webby Honors. Originally from Nepal, Utsab is currently based in NYC.
