Summertime means vacations and fun-filled getaways. That narrative highlights a pair of spots recently directed by Tim Damon for carmaker Hyundai and agency Innocean. The two retail spots titled, “GO GO GO” and “Summer Fun” are currently airing in selected markets nationwide.
Top To Bottom Adventure
“Go Go Go” highlights the 2018 Hyundai Tucson, Kona, Santa Fe Sport and Santa Fe SUVs. Each model rotates, showing off its enviable capacity for family and gear, both inside and up top. “Summer Fun” does the same, but also includes Hyundai 2018 Sonata and Elantra car models. Each spot highlights Hyundai’s premium styling and the carmaker’s Epic Summer Sales Event.
“I was thrilled to direct these spots,” says Damon. “As a kid, we would spend days dreaming up what we would do come summer. My dad owned a red Corvette, but that didn’t stop us from piling it high with wake boards and wind surfers. Hyundai is more than a vehicle that goes from point a to point b, it’s functional art that becomes a part of your lifestyle through activities it enables. As a filmmaker, it was great bringing all these emotions to life while creating a look that exceeds expectations.”
