Travis Cloyd, former Inaugural Futurist in Residence at Florida International University and Arizona State University Alumni, is set on coming home to continue as Global Futurist at Thunderbird School of Global Business Management. In this new role he will be responsible to the Director General and Dean Dr. Sanjeev Khagram. 

Working to develop innovation at the new most technologically advanced Global Headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona for the 75th Anniversary and the ASU California Center at the Herald Building in downtown Los Angeles. He is tasked with driving the latest global creative technologies, metaverse initiatives for the fourth wave of industrial revolution surrounding worldwide centers and programs such as the ones in Los Angeles, Dubai, London, Tokyo, Bogota, Nairobi and others. 

These initiatives with the latest creative technologies revolve around the Metaverse, blockchain, digital humans, NFT’s, volumetric capture, extended reality, artificial intelligence/machine learning, spatial computing and next-level education. Cloyd will be central to advancing Dr. Khagram’s vision on the use of creative technologies for quality education at scale (100 million learners initiative), in the new global economy, and for global problem solving such as climate change and advancing revenue generated opportunities that further the vision and missions of Thunderbird and ASU. 

Cloyd is tech entrepreneur, producer and entertainment executive with a focus on creating, managing and financing immersive state-of-the-art technology companies. He is an award-winning producer, XR visionary, professor and futurist that operates a portfolio of  cutting-edge businesses with a focus on trending innovation. Cloyd is respected as an innovative filmmaker, specializing in applying new technologies into his storytelling, and has produced or directed movies featuring talent including Wesley Snipes and John Travolta, and recently produced on an immersive video game featuring NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes.
