The 2014 filmotechnic catalog is now available!

Award-winning Catalog Highlights Latest Features in Camera Cars, Arms + Rigs

    Gardena, CA -- (SPW) --

Filmotechnic USA has released their award-winning catalog, showcasing the finest camera cars, arms and specialized rigs in the US. The announcement was made by filmotechnic USA Operations Manager John Urso. Filmotechnic is at the forefront of camera car systems, arms, stabilized flight heads and rigs. Recent projects include most automotive industry commercials, NCIS LA, The Closer, Major Crimes, and CSI New York, plus a variety of flight heads currently booked on numerous soon-to-be released motion pictures.

    Award-Winning Catalog
Five years ago, filmotechnic USA began sending out their hard-cover “catalog” showcasing all the latest products. Production companies across the country responded positively to the collateral, which quickly turned into a tradition. “I get calls every Spring requesting the latest book, says Urso, who wouldn’t disclose the production cost for 30,000 copies of this year’s edition. “We’re very proud of our operation and the catalog is a direct reflection of our attention to detail. We feel that filmotechnic has both the best personnel and best equipment.”

    Changing Specs
To book is to keep clients aware of the latest specs and abilities of the equipment. “The number one consideration for what vehicles/equipment is appropriate for the job is location and terrain, says Urso. “We update our website with new specs as they happen, but many producers rely on our books for basic information.”

Latest Camera Car Systems/Arms/Flight HeadsFilmotechnic USA is known for having some of the best cars and equipment available in the production market. Vehicles featured this year include a specially modified/equipped models of Ford F-150 Raptor, Porsche Cayenne Turbo, Ferrari 360 Modena, Mercedes ML63 AMG, Polaris RZR, KTM 950 sport bike, Hummer H1 and Polaris Ranger.

    Notable Updates For 2014
This year’s filmotechnic catalog features a number of updates. The Ford F-150 Raptor has been supercharged, now outputting up to 600 horsepower. The Porsche Cayenne is now the newest iteration of the model. All filmotechnic vehicles are newer models and maintained daily. All cranes and rigs are lighter and stronger this year, including the latest carbon fiber rig.

Bye Sweet Carole, the video game from Italian artist, writer, and director Chris Darril, has received six nominations at the 23rd NAVGTR (National Academy of Video Game Trade Reviewers) Awards, marking the highest number of NAVGTR nominations ever received by an Italian video game.  The nominations span multiple categories, including Animation, Artistic, Original Light Mix Score, New IP, Performance in a Drama (Lead and Supporting), Writing in a Drama, and Game, Original Adventure, highlighting the project’s strength across animation, narrative, performance, and overall design. These nominations follow another recent milestone for Bye Sweet Carole. Just weeks ago, the title made history as the first and only Italian video game ever nominated at the Annie Awards, receiving a nomination for Best Character Animation in a Video Game. The game has also earned a Gamescom Award nomination for Best Visuals, further underscoring its artistic and technical achievements. Everything that appears on screen in Bye Sweet Carole is created using traditional hand-drawn, frame-by-frame animation, including particles and visual effects, set against painted environments.
