San Jose, CA -- (SPW) --
Cogswell College, an historic digital art, engineering and entrepreneurship school, celebrated the opening of its new headquarters in North San Jose, serving its 600 students and Academy Award-winning alumni, on Wednesday, October 14 during a special ribbon cutting ceremony at the school's new campus.

Cogswell College brings award-winning talent to North San Jose.

During the October 14th ceremonies, Dr. Deborah Snyder, President, Cogswell College, welcomed visitors, who then heard from John Duhring, Cogswell’s Director, Strategic Alliances and Alumni Relations. Next up was San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo, who made a special guest appearance alongside “Cogswell the Dragon.”  Dr. Charles Cook, Cogswell’s Chairman, Board of Trustees, was also on hand to cut the ribbon.

Known as a "fiercely collaborative, living laboratory," Cogswell is the region's first digital arts college. The new San Jose site is the college's sixth campus since its founding in San Francisco in 1887.  The school relocated to Cupertino in 1985 and then to Sunnyvale in 1993.

"The location of the campus in North San Jose is excellent," said Dr. Deborah Snyder, President and Chief Academic Officer of Cogswell College. "It's is easy to get here, and it provides our students the advantage of connecting to the area's top tech firms that are right in our backyard."

"We welcome the students, alumni, and faculty of Cogswell College to San Jose," said Mayor Sam Liccardo during the ceremony. "Cogswell's strong tradition of creative technology innovation is an excellent fit for the Capital of Silicon Valley, and we wish the college every success in their new home."

Cogswell College is adjacent to numerous public transportation options and nearby top tech companies like Cisco, Microchip, Ericsson, Samsung, and Maxim.

Bye Sweet Carole, the video game from Italian artist, writer, and director Chris Darril, has received six nominations at the 23rd NAVGTR (National Academy of Video Game Trade Reviewers) Awards, marking the highest number of NAVGTR nominations ever received by an Italian video game.  The nominations span multiple categories, including Animation, Artistic, Original Light Mix Score, New IP, Performance in a Drama (Lead and Supporting), Writing in a Drama, and Game, Original Adventure, highlighting the project’s strength across animation, narrative, performance, and overall design. These nominations follow another recent milestone for Bye Sweet Carole.
