The Seattle Film Summit, which held its annual event online this year due to the COVID 19 pandemic, has announced a Bonus Holiday Screening Week, featuring the full SFS 2020 slate of 7 features and 65 short films.

Now You See Us, directed by Award-Winning Director/Screenwriter and SHOOT's 2014 New Directors Showcase Honoree Romina Schwedler, premiered this October at New York City’s Chelsea Film Festival, where besides being one of the most watched films of the virtual event, it received the Special Jury Award.

The 11-minute comedy was also selected for Oscar® Qualifying St. Louis International Film Festival, with more screenings to be announced in 2021.

Shot in New York City right before the pandemic started, Now You See Us addresses the very relevant and not often talked about issue of women over fifty feeling invisible to society as well as patronized and/or stereotyped in the world of advertising and entertainment in general.

This compelling and eye-opening work was not only directed by a woman but also brought to life by a 90% female crew of diverse backgrounds and -of course- ages.

Besides directing, Schwedler was in charge of writing the Adapted Screenplay for the film, which was based on the Award-Nominated short play Boom written by Barbara Miluski, also the Executive Producer and one of the stars of the film.

Co-starring alongside Miluski is the talented Caroline Ryburn, as well as supporting actresses Leema Mitchell and Rochelle Slovin, while Itamar Ben Zimra is responsible for the film's whimsical yet stirring Original Music and Danna Kinsky for its flawless Cinematography.

You can access the limited screening at the Seattle Film Summit on-demand 12/24/20 - 01/01/21 through this link: https://seattlefilmsummit.com/registration
