The LMGI Presents "The Royal Film Commission – Filmmaking in Jordan"

Prince Ali bin Hussein & HRH Princess Rym Join Virtual Tour and Panel Discussion
The Location Managers Guild International presents a unique FAM Tour spotlighting “The Royal Film Commission – Filmmaking in Jordan” on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. Prince Ali bin Hussein, Chairman of Jordan’s Royal Film Commission, HRH Princess Rym, and Mr. Raja Gargour, Director of Royal Heritage, will greet participants virtually prior to the panel discussion. The LMGI continues to engage members world-wide by offering a slate of Virtual Fam Tours throughout the year. This special panel discussion, open to LMGI members, guild members and filming officials, will raise awareness of the film business in Jordan and explore some of the country’s various unique filming markets.
“As our world becomes more globally accessible through today’s technology and communication, distance becomes less complicated. The LMGI continues to fill the pre-existing gaps between global communities by bringing visuals from all corners of the world to life through television and film. This panel discussion continues the tradition of fostering new partnerships around the world. We are proud to honor the Jordanian royals and filmmakers as we experience the beauty, challenges, opportunities and magic of the Jordanian country,” said J.J. Levine, LMGI Vice President, Location Manager and Scout. Levine will moderate the discussion.
Panelists include Christian McWilliams/LMGI (Location Manager, UK), Dow Griffith/LMGI (Location Manager, USA), Tom Carr-Griffin/LMGI (Location Scout, UK), Mark Somner (Dune, Aladdin, and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Rula Nasser (Location Jordanian Line Producer ), Stephen Marinaccio (Production Manager-Sergio and The Stoning of Soraya M), Mohannad Bakri (Managing Director, RFC-Jordan), Baha Othman (Production Services Manager, RFC-Jordan), Bashar Abu Nuwar (Production Services Senior Specialist), and Justin O. Cooper (N. American Liaison Officer).
This special FAM tour will include curated video and images of filming locations and will explore the robust and thriving communities that embrace productions in Jordan. LMGI Fam Tours are open to LMGI members and Business Partners, and filming officials involved in international filming locations.
