Tomorrow - Wednesday, December 9th, Maxon will host its final 3D & Motion Design show of 2020, a free-to-attend virtual series of artist-focused presentations for 3D and motion graphics artists. In the December 9th livestream of the 3D and Motion Design Show, Maxon will host presentations from a collection of notable creative directors, motion designers, and animation directors who will demonstrate the application and experimental use of Cinema 4D on large-scale productions and films.
 
Presentations for all Maxon 3D and Motion Design Shows are streamed live and available on demand shortly after on 3DMotionShow.com, as well as the Maxon YouTube channel. Viewers will be able to interact and send in questions via chat for the live Q&A sessions with artists.
 
 
Cinema 4D for Big Productions
Emiliano Topete, Animation Director, Polygoon Estudio
Having studied at film school in Cuba, Topete discovered his passion for character animation and has been a dedicated user of Cinema 4D for the last 15 years. In this session, Emiliano will demonstrate how his team and partners managed to produce a 12-minute pilot episode and hit their deadlines in the middle of the COVID pandemic. He will share valuable tips on how to use Cinema 4D’s basic tools to build a fast and stable workflow for animators, as well as a smooth pipeline for VFX and compositing using the Red Giant plugins.
 
Lights, Camera, Action: How Cinema 4D Is Used on Films and Experimental Projects
Peter Eszenyi, Creative Director/VFX Supervisor, Lunarstorm Studio
A VFX supervisor and creative director for feature films, television shows, and commercials, Eszenyi has worked on major motion pictures and series such as Blade Runner 2049, Ghost In The Shell, Pacific Rim: Uprising, and the recent Dark Crystal Netflix series. He enjoys solving creative problems by experimenting with new techniques and, in this session, he’ll show how utilizing technology with Cinema 4D as a hub for content creation can help creatives with their work, whether on a large production or small experimental project.
 
Creating Realistic and Beautiful Product Renderings
Robert Hranitzky, Creative Director
Munich-based designer Robert Hranitzky specialises in motion graphics and animation. He has worked on a wide range of projects, from opening titles to product trailers and film projects, for numerous notable clients, including Adobe, Apple and BMW. On Tuesday, Hranitzky will demonstrate how he directed and created an international production in the middle of a global pandemic for a product that is still in development. He will talk about the creative concept, challenges and workarounds as well as technical tips and tricks used with Cinema 4D and After Effects.
 
Design-Driven Cinema 4D Pipeline Integrating with Live-Action
Curry Tian, 3D Motion Designer & Director, Logan.tv
Los Angeles-based filmmaker Curry Tian has held various creative roles around the world and aims to bridge the gap between eastern and western culture, video art and film, through 3D motion graphics and alternative modes of storytelling. In her session, Tian will share a personal journey about her inspirations, passion projects, motivation and how she got her start in the 3D motion industry by demonstrating her design-driven Cinema 4D workflow with live action shooting. She will also share a breakdown for her recent project SIMULACRA, which just won the Student Oscar Gold Metal, along with other daily projects.
