Easily browse and intuitively place assets within scenes, key animation workflow enhancements, and continued development on powerful nodes system

    Friedrichsdorf, Germany -- (SPW) --

Maxon, the developers of professional software solutions for motion designers and visual effects artists, today announced Cinema 4D Subscription Release 24 (S24). The latest subscription-only release of Maxon’s 3D application allows users to easily browse and obtain models, materials and other assets, and to intuitively place them within the scene. The release also includes key workflow enhancements and a sneak peek at continued progress on the Scene Nodes and Scene Manager interfaces to the new core. Cinema 4D S24 is immediately available for subscription customers. For perpetual license holders of Cinema 4D a release is scheduled later this year that will incorporate the features of S24, as well as future enhancements.

Maxon will debut the features of Cinema 4D S24 during its three-day virtual event. Tune in online at 3DMotionShow.com from April 13th-15th for exclusive presentations from industry-leading artists.

“S24 showcases what Maxon always strives to offer our subscribers – exceptional and innovative workflow matched with leading-edge core technology,” said Dave McGavran, Maxon CEO. “The new Asset Browser in combination with the Placement Tools provides a playful workflow that empowers creativity. And the advancements to the node-based system offers glimpses into the powerful and promising future of Cinema 4D.”

    S24 Feature Highlights

    • Placement Tools: Cinema 4D S24 sets the stage for creativity with intuitive and powerful tools for placing objects within a scene. Creating an environment, adding props and creative exploration is as simple as dragging-and-dropping objects onto one another, painting objects onto a surface, or allowing objects to fall into place with the help of dynamics.
    • New Asset Browser: Makes it easy to find and use models, materials and other assets in your 3D scenes. Browse and search online or local asset databases, including a vast library of assets available to C4D subscribers. Assets are organized with rich metadata and keywords and are downloaded and cached locally on demand.
    • Animation Workflow Enhancements: Cinema 4D S24 adds more powerful animation workflow enhancements and builds upon the success of character animation features introduced in R23. Everyone who creates keyframes will enjoy improved curve evaluation and other workflow enhancements, while Character Animators will enjoy even more powerful retargeting and pose workflows.
    • Scene Manager/Scene Nodes: Experience first-hand how things are taking shape as work continues on Cinema 4D's new core. Cinema 4D S24 introduces the Scene Manager, the spiritual successor to Cinema 4D's Classic Object Manager. Use powerful node-based assets to construct procedural geometry or entire scenes in this new hierarchy-based view or view the same objects in a continually evolving Scene Nodes editor.

Sound Lounge Welcomes Mixer and Sound Designer Nicole Pettigrew

    Tuesday, August 18, 2026
Mixer and Sound Designer Nicole Pettigrew

Sound Lounge has expanded its commercial roster with the addition of mixer and sound designer Nicole Pettigrew, who brings more than a decade of experience, a passion for sound design and a highly collaborative approach to her work. Pettigrew joins Sound Lounge following five years at PS260, where she established and led the company's in-house audio department as its sole audio engineer. Her work spans campaigns for brands including American Express, MLB, T-Mobile, New Balance, Titleist, David Yurman and DraftKings. She also mixed Gucci's 2024 AICP Best in Show-winning campaign. Prior to PS260, Pettigrew spent nine years at PLUSHnyc. A lifelong musician, Pettigrew brings a musical ear to her work and particularly gravitates toward projects that allow her to experiment with sound. Her approach pairs a traditional studio foundation rooted in listening, communication and client experience with an eagerness to explore new ideas and push the creative possibilities of a project. “The best sessions feel like a real collaboration,” says Pettigrew. “I want clients to feel like I’m part of their team, listening to their vision and then interpreting it, building on it and helping push the idea further. You’re handed all of these individual pieces, and I love the problem-solving that goes into figuring out how they fit together. There’s something really satisfying about getting to the end, stepping back and realizing you helped bring someone’s idea fully to life.” Pettigrew's arrival also reunites her with Sound Lounge...
