The Mill is excited to announce the hire of Johnny Moore as Chief Operating Officer. Johnny will oversee the company’s group-wide performance and ensure all global studios continue to thrive both commercially and creatively.

He joins the team from Sky where he held various posts over the course of 20 years, most recently taking on the role of Director of Operations for NOW TV. Johnny will work alongside Mill Founder and CEO Robin Shenfield, and spread his time across the seven Mill studios that make up The Mill, Mill+, and Mill Film.

During his time at Sky, Johnny helped drive various strands of expansion, including Sky’s investment in original content, their partnership with HBO, and the launch of Sky Sports F1. At NOW TV, Johnny ran day-to-day operations and customer support, leading it to become one of the UK’s most popular online streaming platforms.

Johnny brings with him extensive knowledge in combining commercial and creative strategy to ensure businesses operate as efficiently as possible, harnessing the key attributes which will usher The Mill through a new era as it evolves to meet the changing needs of its clients.

Johnny states, “It is hugely exciting to be joining this extraordinarily talented and passionate team. The Mill has an exceptional reputation for creative excellence and technological innovation.

“I am looking forward to supporting the team to ensure they maximise the enormous opportunities that are opening up as the industry enters a period of unprecedented change and growth.”

CEO of The Mill Robin Shenfield comments: “Given the wealth of opportunity available to us in The Mill and the ever-present need to remain efficient and agile, I am really delighted to bring Johnny into the company in this role as Chief Operating Officer.

“I am already incredibly impressed by both his strategic thinking and his ability to work with a team to successfully implement change.”
