Whitehouse Post has added multitalented editor Pete Hills to its roster. UK-born Hills joins from the freelance world where he has kept busy cutting adverts for global brands including Nike, Adidas, Samsung, Pepsi, Toyota, and Chelsea FC. A world-traveler, diver, and extreme sports fanatic, Pete has traveled the globe since his 20s.  This humanistic influence shines through in much of his work, and editing often provides the opportunity to make an impact and push the viewer to think about something in a new way. “I want to make adverts that people remember,” says Hills. “I want to make films that people talk about. I like making an impact and being thought-provoking. I get a real kick out of seeing the purpose of an ad, be that inclusivity, diversity, politics, or climate change - whatever the underlying message, create a ripple and conversation. For me, what I want to achieve, is a body of work that's looked back on for decades to come, like my biggest inspirations; Romain Gavras and Chris Cunningham.”

A versatile editor, in addition to commercial work, Hills has cut many music videos for artists including Novelist and Plan B, and recently wrapped four hour-long episodes for a ten-part TV Show for CuriosityStream.  His frequent collaborations with directors Geoff Bell, Tracy Mathewson, and Amy Becker-Burnett have yielded a slew of award-winning short films that have screened at upwards of twenty festivals and been awarded by Venice Shorts, Brighton Rocks, Women’s International Film Festival, Los Angeles Rocks, London Rocks, and the Berlin Sci-Fi Film festival, to name a few.

An editor with a focus on putting storytelling first, Hills is excited to put down roots and call Whitehouse Post home.  “Honestly, the caliber of work coming out of Whitehouse is nothing short of awe-inspiring,” says Hills. “There's so much versatility, too. From the emotionally driven story lines to the fast-paced sports and comedy. It's fresh. Nothing about Whitehouse is 'one trick pony' and I love that. I'm always looking to challenge my creativity and take it to the next level. I want to cut the best of the best, and this is where the best is. The editors at Whitehouse are impressive and their portfolios showcase brilliant work. And, everyone has been so welcoming. I feel like I'm about to step into one big family. It's so clear to me that they really care about what goes into post production and good storytelling. To me, that's the most important thing.”

Fellow editor and Director of the London office Sam Gunn is thrilled to welcome Pete. “Pete is nothing but great news for us,” says Gunn. "We've had our eye on him for a while now and we're very excited to bring him in. The warmth of his personality and his love for the craft is apparent in his editing, he has a stunning body of work!"
