Mutiny Channels 90s Nostalgia In New Campaign For Microsoft’s Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 Featuring Gaming Creators Myth, Loserfruit and Chica

“Xbox Elite Cereal: Feed what makes you Elite."

With a multi-pronged approach Mutiny asks the question, “How do you feed what makes you Elite?”

    LOS ANGELES -- (SPW) --

Mutiny, Trailer Park Group’s dedicated videogame branding and advertising agency, has developed and crafted an inventive rollout for Xbox’s family of Elite controllers. The core tenet of the campaign explores how to take a product that used to be reserved for gaming’s elite and broaden its appeal to a more general gaming audience. Central to the creative is the 45-second commercial spot entitled “Xbox Elite Cereal: Feed what makes you Elite."

With the Elite Series 2 controller, anyone can be Elite. Playing on this notion led the creative team to the idea of the coveted athlete-adorned cereal box and the jaunty, jingle-driven breakfast cereal commercials of the ‘80s and ‘90s. In addition to the commercial spot and jingle, Mutiny designed and fabricated Xbox Elite-themed cereal boxes, each one featuring the face of a gaming influencer: Myth, Loserfruit, and Chica. Each box is also complete with games and activities on the back panel. All three hero influencers will createcontent to support the overarching campaign on their individual social media channels. In addition, Mutiny produced an extra 25 personalized kits to a roster of global creators, including a personalized cereal box with a custom Elite Series 2 controller.

“This campaign gets to the core of what the Elite Series 2 product family represents – exceptional performance, customization, and durability to play like a pro. There's an Elite controller for every passionate gamer. No matter what games you like to play, the controller provides you with the best experience for your gaming style,” said Courtney Luk, Integrated Marketing Manager, Xbox

In an industry that aims to entice new controller devotees with options for every player, the Elite controller can now be purchased in the classic black (Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2), the new Core model (Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 – Core in white), or customized as part of Xbox Design Lab (Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 with Xbox Design Lab) with a name, personal design, and color scheme chosen to reflect a user’s particular style. Either way, Xbox is no longer speaking only to hardcore players, whether you’re playing Minecraft on the weekend or taking on demons in Diablo IV, the Elite Series 2 controller is the best option for console gamers everywhere.

Mutiny’s Executive Creative Director Noah Eichen directed the hero spot and co-wrote the commercial’s jingle, which will roll out in the hero spot alongside the influencer content on TikTok and beyond. RuthAnne Berry, Account Director at Mutiny, led and coordinated the project execution. The entire creative effort was a huge integrated lift in-house at Mutiny and across Trailer Park Group and partner companies. From cereal box design and fabrication to illustration for the coloring book and the film component.

Claire Zimmerman, Associate Creative Director at Mutiny, and her team also created custom key art and motion assets that are CG renders of the controllers that thematically fit into the campaign.

"It was an incredibly fun challenge to bring the unique personality of each of the controllers to life through our visual design and campaign. We wanted to capture the essence of what makes each controller unique, while still maintaining a cohesive brand identity. Which aligned perfectly with the metaphor of cereal flavors,” added Claire Zimmerman, Associate Creative Director, Mutiny.

Sound Lounge Welcomes Mixer and Sound Designer Nicole Pettigrew

    Tuesday, August 18, 2026
Mixer and Sound Designer Nicole Pettigrew

Sound Lounge has expanded its commercial roster with the addition of mixer and sound designer Nicole Pettigrew, who brings more than a decade of experience, a passion for sound design and a highly collaborative approach to her work. Pettigrew joins Sound Lounge following five years at PS260, where she established and led the company's in-house audio department as its sole audio engineer. Her work spans campaigns for brands including American Express, MLB, T-Mobile, New Balance, Titleist, David Yurman and DraftKings. She also mixed Gucci's 2024 AICP Best in Show-winning campaign. Prior to PS260, Pettigrew spent nine years at PLUSHnyc. A lifelong musician, Pettigrew brings a musical ear to her work and particularly gravitates toward projects that allow her to experiment with sound. Her approach pairs a traditional studio foundation rooted in listening, communication and client experience with an eagerness to explore new ideas and push the creative possibilities of a project. “The best sessions feel like a real collaboration,” says Pettigrew. “I want clients to feel like I’m part of their team, listening to their vision and then interpreting it, building on it and helping push the idea further. You’re handed all of these individual pieces, and I love the problem-solving that goes into figuring out how they fit together. There’s something really satisfying about getting to the end, stepping back and realizing you helped bring someone’s idea fully to life.” Pettigrew's arrival also reunites her with Sound Lounge...
