The updated Boris FX Suite includes 16 AI tools for editors, VFX artists, and content creators and supports Adobe, Avid, and OFX applications.

    MIAMI -- (SPW) --

Attendees of the annual NAB tradeshow in Las Vegas (April 6-9) will be the first to experience live demos of powerful new AI features developed by the award-winning team at Boris FX. The 2025 update to the Boris FX Suite allows artists to focus more of their efforts on creative storytelling by reducing the time spent on everyday technical tasks with precise, automated workflows.

“The energy at NAB is always electric. It’s a breeding ground for new ideas and tools,” states Boris Yamnitsky, President and Founder of Boris FX. “We debuted our first AI filters and tools at NAB last year and are thrilled to share what we’ve added since. It’s imperative that we leverage AI technology to help everyone achieve their artistic goals.”

    AI Tools

    • Continuum now includes 6 AI features with the addition of realistic and precise motion blur and instant license plate detection, tracking, and blurring.
    • Mocha Pro introduces its first AI tools. The new Object Brush and Matte Assist tools drastically speed up tracking, object removals, and 3D camera solve workflows.
    • SynthEyes adds AI-driven masking that helps matchmove artists quickly isolate 3D moving objects and dynamic elements like water and clouds.
    • Silhouette saves rotoscope artists hours of time on repetitive tasks like garbage masks and temp comps using new Matte Assist and Mask nodes, while the Retime node eliminates the tedious nature of time warps.
    • CrumplePop adds a new Voice Enhance AI plugin that transforms audio recordings from Zoom, cell phone, and laptop mic recordings into professional studio-level sound with a single click.
    • Optics ushers in AI-driven photo/still image masking. Photographers can then use the masks to apply or isolate presets across ten cinematic filter categories.

    Creative Effects and Transitions

    • Sapphire delivers a VHS Damage effect that recreates the nostalgic look of 1980s analog video with textures crafted from sourced original tapes. It also adds an ethereal Dissolve Light Leaks transition, 8 new lens flares in its popular Light & Flares category, and 50+ professionally-designed presets across effects, such as Dust, Grid, UltraZap, and the Effect Builder.
    • Continuum adds 4 new transitions (BCC+ Smoke & Fog, BCC+ Smoke Wipe, BCC+ Atmospheric Glow Dissolve, BCC+ Orbs Dissolve), 6 updated effects, the ability to create loop animations and extend animations in Particle Illusion using the repeat animation feature, and over 200 drag and drop presets.

    Demos & Presentations
Attendees can schedule private group or one-on-one demos in the Boris FX Meeting Room (SL1929) for an exclusive first look at the latest AI advancements. Visitors can also reach the Boris FX product team in the Dell Booth (SL4616) on the Exhibit Hall floor for hands-on demos of the Boris FX Suite.

Boris FX Sequoia Transforms Immersive Audio Mixing With New Spatial Panner

    Friday, August 7, 2026
    Boris FX Sequoia 2026.5

Sequoia, the renowned mastering and broadcast DAW from Boris FX, introduces a powerful unified visual panning tool that brings stereo, surround, and immersive audio (ADM/Dolby Atmos) into a single connected workspace. The 2026.5 release is now available with a new Spatial Panner that gives broadcast, post-production, music, and live recording engineers greater control over spatial mixes. The time-saving workflow keeps sources connected in multiple formats at once, allowing users to focus on creativity rather than reworking mixes for delivery.  “We designed Sequoia 2026.5 to bring an easier, more efficient workflow to audio professionals who need a seamless end-to-end production environment as immersive audio becomes more mainstream,” states Patrick Donohoe, Director of Product Marketing, Pro Audio, at Boris FX. “Our customers are already producing in 3D. The new Spatial Panner makes immersive panning fast, visual, and reliable regardless of how complicated a project is. We’ve eliminated major pain points. You no longer need to rebuild additional mixes from scratch. One adjustment is linked across versions, while still giving users the freedom to adjust each target format individually. This is especially valuable to broadcast, radio dramas, classical and live concert recordings, dialogue, and immersive music productions where objects are organized into complex spatial setups and multiple delivery formats may be expected.”  “Over the last few releases, Sequoia has...
