NAB News: Thinklogical Introduces Uncompressed CATx KVM Solution at Compressed System Prices

High-Performance 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 Signal Management for Film, Broadcast and Post-Production Applications Makes U.S. Debut in Booth SL6028

    Milford, CT -- (SPW) --

Thinklogical, a global manufacturer of secure, high performance signal extension and switching systems for video-rich applications, today announced the U.S. debut of its new TLX Series CATx matrix switches and extenders at NAB Show 2016, April 18-21, 2016 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, in booth SL6028.

The new, uncompressed TLX CATx product line from Thinklogical includes video and KVM extenders and a range of matrix switches from 12 to 640 ports, and is priced to be highly competitive with compressed and IP-based KVM and video signal management solutions from other vendors.

With TLX, Thinklogical has leveraged its industry-leading expertise in fiber-optic extension and switching to develop an innovative high-bandwidth (10Gbps) hybrid signal transmission architecture supporting both standard CATx copper network cabling and fiber. TLX CATx is fully compatible and interoperable with the TLX fiber-optic product line, offering users increased system flexibility in new and existing installations, and a scalable, future-proof upgrade path.

Creative professionals working in video-intensive broadcast control rooms or post-production applications such as editing, color grading, digital intermediate and visual special effects can become easily fatigued and unproductive when working long hours on systems with the less-than-optimal image resolution quality and unreliable computer peripheral performance that comes from compressed or IP-based KVM signal management systems.

Thinklogical eliminates these issues by providing a 100 percent uncompressed signal path on either CATx or fiber cabling with the lowest signal latency in the industry (microseconds, vs. milliseconds for compressed solutions), offering precise pixel-for-pixel transmission of 4K DCI/UHD resolution video (up to 4096 x 2160 resolution, 60Hz frame rate, 4:4:4 color depth) with no visual artifacts, jitter or lost frames, and instantaneous computer peripheral responsiveness. This increases user efficiency and productivity without compromising quality, resolution, reliability or performance.

“Our new TLX CATx product line disrupts the KVM market by delivering the quality and exceptional performance of uncompressed 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 video and computer peripheral extension at a price point that is highly competitive with lesser-quality KVM products using signal compression or IP connectivity,” said Joe Pajer, president and CEO of Thinklogical. “With TLX, content creation professionals in film, broadcast and post-production no longer need to compromise on productivity, performance and resolution quality due to budget or cost when working in application environments where fiber or CATx connectivity is required.”

TLX Series hybrid signal management products are available for order now from Thinklogical and authorized Thinklogical resellers. More information and specifications about TLX can be found at http://www.thinklogical.com/tlx_hybrid_kvm_solutions

Brave Makers & Director Sami Abdou Invites Audiences To Experience The Multi-sensory World of Mariana Velásquez For Sur La Table

    Monday, May 11, 2026
Cookbook author, food stylist and designer Mariana Velásquez in a still image from Sur La Table's new campaign.

An evocative new campaign created by Brave Makers for Kitchenware retailer Sur La Table celebrates noted cookbook author, food stylist and designer Mariana Velásquez with authentic style, heart, and a touch of magical realism. Aligned with the release of the Mariana Velásquez x Sur La Table collection, the central film explores Mariana’s origin story, including her Colombian roots and philosophy around food. A tastemaker who explores the juxtaposition of food, fashion and art, Mariana’s work is an edible canvas where she invites the viewer to eat with their senses.

“Mariana Velásquez is a creative force, a natural host, and someone whose love of cooking is so genuine it stops you in your tracks. For Sur La Table, finding a collaborator who shares our belief that cooking is an act of love and gathering is what makes life richer, and who brings that belief to life with such a distinct creative eye, that is not something you take for granted," notes Kristin Flor Perret, VP Brand Marketing, Sur La Table.

Directed by Sami Abdou, who also served as the editor and co-developed the concept alongside Brave Makers Founder and Executive Producer Justin Ross, the campaign includes the hero film, short-form social content, and video assets playing in Sur La Table stores across the country.

“Sami, Justin, and Brave Makers saw exactly what we saw in Mariana and captured it with the kind of artistry that turns a campaign into something people... Read More
