    NEW YORK -- (SPW) --

Just in time for Father’s Day, The Napoleon Group has created a cool retro-flavored 2D digital short for Alamo Drafthouse Cinema and Time Warner Cable’s ClickedIn.com marketing service.

Showcased at ClickedIn.com/Alamo and shown in four San Antonio, Texas, Drafthouse theaters, the 30-second 2D digital short employs 1960s-inspired art and illustration created by Napoleon’s in-house art studio to promote a special Father’s Day movie pass gift package. Napoleon’s own VP/Creative Director Ken Kresge, an accomplished voice-over artist, supplies the narration. The overall look and feel evokes the classic movie theater aesthetic adopted by the Drafthouse brand and featured in many of the company’s witty and irreverent promotional shorts.

“This is a perfect example of the Napoleon art studio’s ability to create art in any style—from cartoon to realistic, from classic to new and contemporary,” says Art Studio Manager Scott Stein. “In this case, we were given an art reference with a loose, linear Mad Men aesthetic. Napoleon artist Al Evcimen was able to perfectly match the vintage look and add a slightly modern twist.”

“As always, the team at Napoleon took the concept and not only produced it but added to it from every creative vantage point—art, audio, V/O, animation and editing,” says Christian Bock, Creative Director, Time Warner Cable Media. “We were under a tight deadline for a new integrated campaign for key client Alamo Drafthouse. I needed a spot produced soup-to-nuts as well as custom retro illustrations for the commercial and the digital components. I couldn’t be happier with the results of go-to shop Napoleon. They are truly a creative partner and not just a production house.”

Bock was also pleased with Napoleon’s custom project pipeline.

“Everything from the account management to the creative went super smooth, on-time (early actually) and within budget. I have worked with many shops over the years and always recommend Napoleon as my top pick. Everyone has the same winning can-do attitude and the work is second to none. Thank you for a great Father’s Day spot that the client loves and is receiving awesome social buzz from consumers. The results don’t lie. A better story and ultimately higher metrics.”
