Archion Technologies is a global leader in intelligent, high performance shared storage solutions for media workflows, with an emphasis on 4K video storage specifically designed for the editorial, finishing, visual effects, and other media workflows commonly used where creative storage systems are required for the broadcast, production, corporate, education, government, house of worship, and sports industries.

Leading Media Storage Company Announces New Ultra High Speed Network Storage Solutions, And Enhancements to its Service Offerings and Channel Program

    LOS ANGELES -- (SPW) --

In conjunction with NAB 2017, Archion Technologies, a leader in intelligent, ultra high performance shared storage solutions for media workflows, will be announcing several additions to its products and services offerings, as well as significant enhancements to its Authorized Channel Partner Program. During NAB, Archion will be based at Booth Number SL14617. The company will also be raffling a full turnkey EditStor Velo . Please visit www.archion.com for a free NAB exhibition pass.

Archion is renowned within the creative storage industry for offering the most intelligent, shared storage solutions – solutions that truly support collaborative 4K, 8K and 360 video workflows: including DPX, standards based compatibility, quick and easy expansion up to 2.4 Petabytes, speeds of 8000 MB/sec and IOPS in excess of 600,000, and management user interfaces for multiple audiences.

In addition to Archion’s nearly two decades of delivering high performance shared storage solutions for content creation professionals, Archion’s Patented IP, which provides virtualized dynamic storage that accelerates the throughput and speed of the backplanes, protocols, Ethernet connections, and the overall chassis performance, is what truly differentiates Archion from the competition.

The combination of Archion’s IP, experience, broad capabilities and high scalability give creative teams the confidence to invest in Archion’s single, centralized solution – one designed to grow with them as the workflow demands within their infrastructures also grow.

Archion’s NAB 2017 presence follows the company’s successful 2016 show in which SSD solutions were introduced to improve the IOPS performance needed for many media workflows, such as visual effects. This year, the company will be introducing all new flash products that will deliver bandwidth and IOPS speeds far in excess of existing Archion EditStor solutions and other flash solutions within a comparable price range.

During NAB 2017, Archion will be using workflow applications such as Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, Blackmagic Resolve and more, to demonstrate how capable Archion's EditStor models are in handling very demanding workflows, such as 4K DPX.

Additionally, Archion will be showcasing its new networked User Interface (UI) for EditStor, which was based on feedback from Archion’s clients and their requirements for collaboration and ease within their workflows. The whole UI has shared group control custom features like changing volume names and description of shares that are updated to all users.

While existing HDD based solutions such as EditStor Omni and EditStor Velo  deliver industry leading speeds and overall price and performance, Archion’s all flash solutions will deliver the performance required to handle the next generation of 4K, 8K and 360-degree workflows.

Regarding his company’s prominent position within the creative storage solutions marketplace, Reuben Lima, Archion’s CEO, said, “We are continuing our pursuit to bring our clients the best price performance in the industry while protecting their original investment with Archion. This year we will be announcing greater performance with flash technology. The best part is our existing customers can take advantage of this performance by simply upgrading their drives and retaining their original Archion hardware. This is a testament to the fact that we work to bring our customers the latest in technology without requiring a forklift upgrade or additional appliance hardware.  Come visit us at NAB and see the performance that the competition does not want you to see. We will be demonstrating our technology and providing attendees hands-on demos with our system to work freely instead of conforming to a structured demo.”

Adds James Tucci, Archion’s CTO, “We have continued to advance our EditStor platform so that content creation professionals can easily move from one workflow or editing application to another without changes – other than launching the next editing software. Media is always available in one centralized EditStor storage server, and there is no special formatting or procedure required for high speed DPX.”

    Channel Development
Archion has been dedicated to the channel, inclusive of Solution Providers, System Integrators, and more, and at NAB 2017 will be announcing multiple enhancements to its channel program by which to further enable the company’s success.  Says Dan Stern, Archion’s VP, Business Development, “NAB is a terrific place for potential resellers to meet members of our team and learn about the multiple solutions we have to offer their prospects and customers. It’s also a great opportunity to sit down and discuss how Archion’s program is geared toward addressing reseller challenges, keeping requirements low, improving margins, and developing qualified referrals.” Please see: https://www.archion.com/partners/partnering-overview/

    Customer Support
With customer satisfaction at the core of Archion’s mission statement, the company will also be announcing at NAB 2017 the expansion of its annual support programs – these programs will now include both extended hardware warranties, as well as semi-annual system health and optimization evaluations.   These additions will come at no extra charge to Archion customers, and are just part of the company’s consistent goal of exceeding customer expectations.

How Cutting “Wicked” Films Changed Oscar Nominee Myron Kerstein For Good

    Tuesday, January 13, 2026
Myron Kerstein, ACE behind the scenes working on "Wicked" and "Wicked: For Good"

While having a phenomenal range of credits across genres, Kerstein definitely cemented his reputation as a music man of the editing room with Tick, tick…. Boom! and Wicked earning him two Academy Awards® nominations. He shared with us some of his secrets on tackling the tremendous task of finishing this epic journey and how finding intimate moments in grand scenes shapes his approach to work. You have been Oscar® nominated for Tick, tick… Boom! and notable for Wicked last year. Are musicals like second nature, what do you love about working on them or what attracts you to them? I love working on musicals because when a character does not have the ability to say how they feel, singing it is another form of expression. So oftentimes that singing is sort of a version of a monologue inside their heads, and I love to explore that form of expression. It's unlike anything else in any other genre, like voiceover, because the musical is a very specific way in which characters can express themselves. I also happen to really love music. So cutting musicals satisfies this love of mine of this specific form of expression, but also my love for music and the genre itself. The genre has such a long history. There's so many incredible artists who have used this genre to express different stories from the Music Man or Grease or The Umbrellas of Cherbourg or Read More
