    OddBeast 3D Artist Alex Weber

Weber’s skills will be essential in product visualization for the growing motion design and creative studio.

    Newport, KY -- (SPW) --

OddBeast continues to expand its creative team to meet the needs of a growing client roster. The award-winning motion design and production studio has hired talented 3D artist Alex Weber after working with him extensively on a freelance basis. Weber’s portfolio includes 3D projects for TaylorMade, Jack Daniel’s and Old Spice, among others.

Joining OddBeast full-time, Weber will dig in as the studio’s primary product visualizer, a role that requires significant self-motivation, attention to detail and organization, along with a willingness to “get it right,” even if that means no shortcuts. These skills will be essential in cleaning up CAD models, modeling products from scratch and processing all client artwork files to be used on 3D models. Weber will also control the most important part… lighting.

“Alex has a combination of things we were looking for,” said OddBeast founder/president Ronny Young. “He went to school to be an engineer initially, so you know his eye is well-trained for the details our clients crave – a MUST for this position. We also wanted a self-starter who cares a lot about the quality of their work, and he has those traits in spades.”

Alex Weber was an Engineering student when he began his studies at the University of Louisville. After quickly realizing he was more into pixels than physics, he changed his major to Graphic Design and graduated in 2018. Weber’s foray into 3D was a side hustle and some late-night YouTube tutorials before becoming a full-on obsession. During the pandemic, he moved to NKY and freelanced until he was offered a role at Durham Design Studio. Since then, he has created 3D work for such recognized brands as TaylorMade, Olay, Jack Daniel’s, Old Spice, New Riff and Bud Light. Born and raised in the Bluegrass, Weber nurtures a passion for woodworking and good bourbon when he’s not neck-deep in 3D work.

“I’m beyond excited to join the crew at OddBeast—a wildly talented bunch of creatives who aren’t afraid to push boundaries, break some rules (in a good way), and make seriously cool stuff while they’re at it,” said Weber. “I look forward to leveling up my 3D game, embracing the weird and helping to bring bold, unexpected ideas to life.”

Founded in 2017, OddBeast (formerly Polymath Motion) is an award-winning motion design and production studio filled with talented, scrappy creatives who have way too much fun transforming concepts into moving visual reality for major consumer brands and entertainment entities. Never Not Moving: OddBeast Paves Road To Success With Two Key Promotions

    Wednesday, August 13, 2025
    OddBeast Executive Director Tj Bitter

True to its mantra, “Never Not Moving,” the award-winning motion design and production studio known as OddBeast has elevated two vital members of its team, paving the road to continued success. Co-founder Tj Bitter has become Executive Director and Michael Brookbank is now Executive Producer, changes that give OddBeast’s talented creatives the support they need to as the studio ushers in an exciting next chapter. Tj Bitter, most recently Head of Production, joined OddBeast in 2020 when it was still known as Polymath. Working closely with founder and previous owner Ronny Young, he helped build a multifaceted studio while running its live-action projects. OddBeast’s client roster includes Procter & Gamble, Visa, John Frieda, Sazerac, Imagine Dragons and more. With Young leaving, Bitter is ready to take the driver’s seat, leading the studio’s team with a new vision and ethos that energize him about the future. “Taking on this new role, what I’m most excited about is getting the chance to dig in and create more opportunities for the crazy-talented team that helped skyrocket OddBeast into what it is today – delivering the level of creative work that has made OddBeast a trusted partner to some of the world’s leading consumer brands,” said Bitter. Bitter had previously been a successful video producer with a passion for shooting long-form, story-driven editorials. Among his credits is Like Harvey Like Son, a three-time festival-winning documentary about ultra-runner Harvey Lewis attempting the fastest known completion time of the Appalachian Trail, while being crewed by his 80-year-old father. When Bitter is not on set with clients, you may find... Read More
