ALIBI's Dark Slow Burn is one of two new production music albums ideal for trailers.

Production Music Albums Dropping are Dark Slow Burn and Dark Heroic Drama 2

    LOS ANGELES -- (SPW) --

ALIBI Music has loaded its two newest releases with ominous cues, promising trailer editors a serious dose of tension for their darker sci-fi, action, fantasy and adventure projects. The debuting production music albums – Dark Slow Burn and Dark Heroic Drama 2 – feature the work of ALIBI’s most skilled professional composers and include stems, alt versions and cut-downs for maximum customization.

Dark Slow Burn is a collection of brooding, ominous cues with a slow building nature for creating unsettling atmospheres. Each track features powerful cinematic sound design and epic driving percussion, fused with analog synths and orchestral elements. You’ll also find unique, signature sounds, synth bends, klaxons, pings and more in an editor-friendly format.

“This album was inspired by movies such as “Parallel,” “Don’t Look Back” and “The Dark and The Wicked,” and will be well-suited to dark thrillers, mysterious sci-fi movies and true crime documentaries,” explains Sam Wale, ALIBI’s Vice President of Production.

Dark Heroic Drama 2 continues this series of brooding and ominous trailer cues designed to evoke the darker side of the superhero genre. Featuring driving staccato strings, ripping braams, epic horns and powerful percussion, these tracks also include cutting-edge hybrid effects and signature sound design to create unique and haunting moods. Huge choral sections round off most of these cues making them perfect for superhero blockbusters, game trailers, epic sci-fi and fantasy.

“This album is the result of a client request for new Marvel-sounding tracks in the style of our original Dark Heroic Drama release, which they had really loved,” added Wale. “With a tight deadline, we called on our most skilled trailer composers to produce 1-3 tracks each, which included most of the team from the first album and a few new guys too. The result is a wonderfully diverse collection of 18 extremely high-quality trailer cues that we are very proud and excited to share with our clients.”

ALIBI’s production music has been used in such high-profile recent projects as “Marvel Studios: Assembled – The Making of Wandavision,” the official game trailer for Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Season 3 and several segments themes for the hit reality competition series “The Masked Singer,” among numerous others.

Founded in 2011, ALIBI Music is a leading provider of music and sound effects for license in advertising, trailers, promos, programming, video games and all other forms of multimedia content. The company’s expertly curated catalogs are produced and structured especially for storytelling, with high-quality, searchable tracks, alternate mixes and stems delivering clients robust versatility. STX Entertainment Relaunches With New Capital Marking Next Chapter For Independent Filmmaking

STX Entertainment is entering its next chapter, with new capital, an exciting new slate, and a suite of production services designed to support independent filmmakers. While STX will remain focused on making studio quality films at the right price, it also has plans to invest in the indie ecosystem to drive greater production across the global market.

“The reboot of STX comes at a time where independent filmmakers face challenges across development, packaging, financing, execution and distribution,” shares Peter Coleman, CEO of STX Entertainment. “STX will be a partner throughout the process, backed by a proven track record and a commitment to continue pushing the edge of innovation to support the creative process.”

With this transaction, STX will become affiliated with Crown Productions and Film Services International (FSI), the entertainment services family of global companies, which includes the storied brand Film Finances International as well as production and post-production resources.

“FSI’s foundation was centered in helping indie filmmakers get financing 75 years ago,” Coleman continues. “Now, with our combined businesses, we’re extending STX’s global reach and positioning it as the mini-major studio for independent films. We help bring a filmmaker's vision to life, support its distribution and, of course, continue producing our own projects.”

STX has delivered standout films such as “Bad Moms” ($183M), “Hustlers”($157M), “The Gentlemen”($115M), “I Feel Pretty ($95M), “The Gift” ($59M), “21 Bridges” ($49M), “Countdown” ($48M), as well as “Greenland,” and its sequel... Read More
