    Optimus Editor Colin Loughlin

New York-based editor brings significant creative expertise to the growing Optimus editorial roster

    CHICAGO -- (SPW) --

Optimus introduces Colin Loughlin as the leading production and post house’s newest editor. Most recently a senior editor with Nice Shoes, Loughlin is a gifted storyteller known for his creative, comedic work, as well as his collaborative presence. With Loughlin onboard, Optimus further bolsters its deep and growing roster of editorial talent.

“We are excited to have Colin as part of our team,” said Optimus Managing Editor|Partner Angelo Valencia. “I have been following his career and have always been impressed with what a natural storyteller he is, which definitely shows in his work. He is a joy to be around, both in and out of his editing room, and the passion he has for his craft is palpable. Plus, he has a joke ready for any and all occasions.”

Based in New York City, Loughlin has partnered with top tier agencies such as BBDO, DDB, Droga 5, Grey, McCann, Ogilvy, Wunderman Thompson, and Y&R on brands including Nike, Pepsi, Verizon, Downy, State Farm, Google, Facebook, Home Depot, HP, Tic Tacs, Classico, Alexander Wang, Coach, Express, Rolex, The Gap, Mercedes Benz, and Volvo.

“The genuine camaraderie among everyone at Optimus is apparent in the work they create,” said Loughlin. “In addition to being incredibly talented and hardworking, the folks here are supportive and kind. I look forward to joining such an awesome group of people doing the work I’m passionate about. And, I am thrilled to once again work with Angelo Valencia and David Cea, two of the best editors in the industry.”

Loughlin graduated from Salisbury University in 2005. In his free time, you can find him teaching his two young daughters how to bike, skateboard, and play softball. He and his partner grow a variety of vegetables in their Brooklyn backyard.  And if you get him going, you’ll likely hear stories about growing up in Saudi Arabia, and you’ll definitely hear about his love of the New York Giants.

Loughlin began his career at Whitehouse Post, was elevated to editor at Alldayeveryday, and was then a much sought after freelance editor all over New York and beyond.

“Colin is a real pro and an excellent addition to the Optimus roster,” said Optimus EP|Managing Director Brian Hrastar. “The diversity of his creative work and New York-based clientele is a complement to our already expansive editorial offerings.  Beyond all of that, Colin’s a lot of fun to work with.”

Frame Theory Brand Refresh Embodies Creative Film Company’s Evolution

    Thursday, November 6, 2025
Examples of the new wordmark for Frame Theory, an award-winning creative film company specializing in multi-platform, human-centered storytelling for global brands.

The award-winning creative film company Frame Theory (formerly: The Frame Theory) has refreshed its brand, unveiling new visuals and positioning that reflect its evolution as a trusted storytelling partner. The refresh comes as Frame Theory refines its capabilities to serve a changing industry, after building a reputation for helping such recognized names as KEEN Footwear, Elijah Craig Bourbon and Alzheimer’s Association tell their stories through brand films, commercial spots and digital mediums. Watch a highlight reel HERE. “Just as the industry has evolved, so have we – the way we engage with brands and the creative strategy we bring to each project,” explained Frame Theory executive producer Sarah Nix-Ward, who founded the company alongside partner & creative director Brandon M. Ward. “It was time that our own brand more clearly represented those changes.” To take on this project, the team commissioned artist Brian Steely (Steely Works Brand Design), who is known for his iconic designs for Nike, Element Skateboards and other global consumer brands and touring bands. Steely created Frame Theory’s original raven logo almost a decade ago, which he updated with a modern, simple and yet sleek vibe before dropping “The” from the wordmark. “In many cultures around the world, the raven is considered the bringer of light, so we’ve always felt that was an appropriate mark for a filmmaking company,” said Brandon. “We wanted to keep the raven, yet evolve it for this refresh.” The additional assets Steely created nod to Frame Theory’s style of cinematic naturalism,...
