    Pamela Martin, ACE, won the ACE Eddie Award for Best Edited Feature Film (Dramatic) for King Richard on March 5 at the American Cinema Editors 72nd ACE Eddie held at The Theatre at ACE Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.

    Hula Post is excited to announce that Pamela Martin, ACE, won the Best Edited Dramatic Feature award last night at the American Cinema Editors 72nd ACE Eddie Awards held at The Theatre at ACE Hotel in downtown Los Angeles on March 5.  Martin edited King Richard, for which she is also nominated for an Oscar for Best Film Editing at the 94th Academy Awards® on March 27. Martin previously earned nominations in the Best Edited Dramatic Feature Film category for The Fighter (2010) and Little Miss Sunshine (2006).

    “We are so proud of Pam for winning an Eddie; it is a prestigious award for the editing community,” said Denine Nio, Hula Post’s CEO. “We had the privilege of working with her on King Richard and honored by the opportunity to support her and her team on such an extraordinary movie.”

    Hula Post provided Martin editing space at their West Los Angeles location, while the rest of the team worked remotely from their homes using Hula Post Everywhere. Hula Post supplied four Avid Media Composers and 20TB NEXIS storage.  Previously, Martin edited numerous features at Hula Post, including Seberg (2019) and Battle of the Sexes (2017).

    Chris Darril’s “Bye Sweet Carole” Earns Record Six NAVGTR Nominations and a Historic Annie Awards First

    Bye Sweet Carole, the video game from Italian artist, writer, and director Chris Darril, has received six nominations at the 23rd NAVGTR (National Academy of Video Game Trade Reviewers) Awards, marking the highest number of NAVGTR nominations ever received by an Italian video game.  The nominations span multiple categories, including Animation, Artistic, Original Light Mix Score, New IP, Performance in a Drama (Lead and Supporting), Writing in a Drama, and Game, Original Adventure, highlighting the project’s strength across animation, narrative, performance, and overall design. These nominations follow another recent milestone for Bye Sweet Carole. Just weeks ago, the title made history as the first and only Italian video game ever nominated at the Annie Awards, receiving a nomination for Best Character Animation in a Video Game. The game has also earned a Gamescom Award nomination for Best Visuals, further underscoring its artistic and technical achievements.
