    LOS ANGELES -- (SPW) --

Global production company Partizan is pleased to announce that all west coast sales and representation for live-action and animation will now be handled by Resource.

Joining forces with the well-known repping firm led by Dana Balkin, whose stellar reputation as a strategist precedes her, the appointment of Resource poises Partizan for its next growth phase. Balkin, alongside partner Frank Antonoff and rep Allie O’Brien Stevens, brings a clear-cut vision and style to management, with Resource boasting a highly curated roster of A-list content creators, as well as rising talent.

“Taking what we have achieved in the past thirty years, and growing that presence in new directions than ever before is exciting, and including Resource in that growth is so profound,” remarks Partizan Founder Georges Bermann. “The addition of Dana and her team will certainly be a catalyst toward the future of Partizan.”

The strategic appointment comes after almost four years of current Head of Sales and Executive Producer Mike Lobikis overseeing sales for the territory. Lobikis is respected throughout the industry for his skillful business development, talent curation, marketing strategies, original intellectual property and community building for top international production companies.

“This partnership is very much centered around the respect I have for Dana, Frank, and Allie,” said Lobikis. “They are high-level talent builders in this industry, and I appreciate how they operate.”

"Their taste is completely in line with the Partizan brand, and the range and extent of their relationships makes them outstanding at realizing our vision for every director on the roster as well as the company at large,” said Managing Director Lisa Tauscher of the new sales structure.

Partizan is recognized worldwide for its roster of next-level creatives, including Michel Gondry and Antoine Bardou-Jacquet, whose world-building has set the benchmark for directorial artistry. Forever dictating trends (including Gondry’s most recent ‘shot on iPhone’ spot for Apple), Partizan has continued that streak in 2022.

Jeff and Jackie Schaffer's Super Bowl LVI spot for FTX featuring Larry David won multiple awards for film craft, writing and branded content. Alice Kong brought her eccentric style to create branded films for Gucci and Vogue, while C.T. Robert flexed his award-winning writing and directing via thought-provoking brand work for Nike Future Movement. Picnic Studio partnered with Preacher agency to showcase WeTransfer’s new platform, meanwhile Aisultan Seitov blended hyper-color and video effects in the campaign to launch PacSun x A$AP Rocky’s worldwide collection.

Additionally, Partizan has recently brought on new Executive Producer Angela Foster to lead its dedicated animation division, Partizanstudio. Featuring a roster of renowned multidisciplinary artists including Pete Candeland, Art Camp, H5, Weareseventeen, Andrew Khosravani, Nerdo, and more, Partizanstudio will be a key area of focus for Resource.

“Partizan has always been a creative leader,” states Dana Balkin. “They continue to hold a really unique place in our industry by being a company committed to the work above all, whether it’s with legacy or emerging talent. We are happy to be part of their next chapter.”

Boris FX Mocha Pro Adds Powerful New AI Roto, Matte, and 3D Solve Refinement Tools

    Boris FX Mocha Pro 2026

Mocha Pro, the Emmy® and Academy Award®-winning planar tracking and masking plugin from Boris FX, announces its 2026 release. The latest update helps VFX artists quickly refine tracking and rotoscoping results with a new AI-assisted matte refine tool for 2D tracking, a 3D tracking refine solve tool, and a rebuilt Curve Editor to easily visualize and adjust problem areas. It also supports VFX Reference Platform 2025 standards to meet the demands of professional VFX pipelines. “Mocha Pro users told us they loved its new AI-powered masking and camera solver, but wanted to use them on more demanding shots. For our 2026 release, we have created a suite of refinement tools to help artists handle tricky tasks like hair roto or tracking through heavy motion blur,” says John-Paul Smith, CEO, Imagineer Systems. “As always, we added many quality-of-life improvements, including the new Curve Editor, which, for the first time, allows artists to visualise the effect of AdjustTrack interactively.” “We always look to make laborious tasks a bit easier in Mocha Pro, especially when refining problem areas. This release is focused on making those refinements a breeze,” adds Martin Brennand, Mocha Pro product manager. “Refine your mattes with Matte Refine ML, clean up your 3D solves with the Refine Solve tools, and refine all your data with the Curve Editor.” New AI Masking A new Matte Refine ML workflow further cements Mocha Pro’s dynamic AI masking toolset, which also includes Object Brush ML, Matte Assist ML, and Face ML. Matte Refine ML automatically refines matte edges to mask out traditionally time-consuming details, such as fine hair, soft blurs,... Read More
