Pixspan offers unique software products that reduce storage costs and increase transmission speeds of full-resolution media, medical, and surveillance imaging. Its software covers all bit depths and resolutions of EXR, DPX, TIFF, Cineon, and ARRIRaw completely bit exact. Currently, Pixspan is the only company providing a solution that enables full resolution workflows beginning from camera RAW, to image processing, through final asset with less than half the storage and bandwidth of existing solutions.
    Rockville, MD -- (SPW) --

Pixspan, Inc. announced today that Autodesk, Inc. has integrated Pixspan’s full resolution bit-exact software in the Autodesk Creative Finishing suite. Autodesk’s upcoming Flame Extension 1 release will integrate Pixspan within Flame Premium, Flame, Flare, and Lustre to allow savings on storage and network costs as well as faster collaboration while preserving 100 percent of the quality. The Autodesk Creative Finishing suite will be able to publish and share Pixspan’s .pxz smaller file format among its applications. Artists will enjoy Autodesk’s same smooth workflow while saving their organizations 50-80 percent on both storage and network.

Pixspan’s software is comprised of the free “Pixspan Reader,” which is available to all Flame users and permits seamless decoding of Pixspan’s format, and Pixspan’s subscription-based option that enables saving, exporting, and publishing in the .pxz format. Pixspan subscriptions will be available through select resellers and system integrators, including some Autodesk Specialized Partners.

“With the aid of Pixspan, Autodesk Creative Finishing customers can take advantage of savings on storage and network costs while preserving maximum quality. This is an example of Autodesk’s commitment to improving the customer experience while maximizing existing hardware and software investments, without compromising quality,” said Steve McNeill, Autodesk director of Product Management and Development.

“We are pleased that Autodesk, as a premier provider of visual effects and finishing products, with its leadership in creative finishing, has integrated Pixspan’s capabilities in such a seamless way,” said Michael Rowny, Pixspan’s CEO. “All Creative Finishing customers will now have access to the more efficient workflows for Digital Intermediates and ARRIRaw, so important for high resolution projects.”

Morgan & Morgan’s “Power Move” Campaign Makes A Splash With a Merman Lifeguard

    Monday, August 3, 2026
    Still image from "Merman"

Morgan & Morgan continues its unique, comedic approach to legal advertising with the latest installment of its national “Power Move” campaign. The firm's newest spot “Merman,” dives headfirst into the absurd and surfaces with the same sharp wit that has defined the campaign from the start.   The spot opens at a public pool, zooming in on the unlikely lifeguard on duty. He watches over the pool with the calm confidence of someone who was literally born for this job. The twist: he’s a merman. When a woman suddenly finds herself in “distress”, the merman lifeguard springs into action, diving into the pool and cutting effortlessly through the water to her rescue. Equal parts heroic and completely unhinged, the spot closes with the merman gliding her to safety followed by a perfectly timed dolphin call.   The campaign’s trademark closer quickly follows: “Having a merman as your lifeguard is a power move. Hiring America's largest injury law firm after an injury? That's a power move, too.” Read More
