AMP Awards 2025 Call For Entries

Talking “Ears” Highlight The Under-Looked Role Music And Sound Play In Creating Successful Ads And Brand Content

    NEW YORK -- (SPW) --

A new creative campaign supporting entries for the 2025 AMP Awards for Music & Sound, created by TiNY, the boutique creative agency known for bold ideas and sharp execution, has launched, and it’s turning up everyone’s ears. That’s because the campaign’s quirky social videos feature talking ears (among other body parts), hilariously highlighting the often overlooked role that sound and music play in media storytelling.

The first round of creative includes the spots “Demo Love” and “Sexy Ear.” (Watch Below)

The first round of creative dropped recently on social media, with additional spots set to roll out over the next few months, all leading up to the AMP Awards ceremony scheduled for May 21, 2025, at Sony Hall in New York City. Sponsored by the Association of Music Producers, the deadline for submitting entries to the AMP Awards is March 7, 2025. AMP members entering before the early bird deadline of January 31, 2025, will qualify for a 30 percent discount on all entries.

For full details on entry fees, category descriptions, and rules, visit the AMP Awards entry portal here.

Despite the obstacle of having virtually no budget, TiNY delivered a laugh-out-loud campaign for the ad industry’s only non-profit, juried competition for music and sound that captures attention thanks to its clever humor and creativity — one that bills itself, tongue in cheek, as ‘the loudest show in the industry.’

“The AMP Awards have always celebrated creativity in its purest form, and TiNY has captured that spirit perfectly,” says Al Risi, Association of Music Producers National Board Member and Founder of music company Groove Guild. “They’ve turned zero dollars into something priceless — and hilarious.”

Adds Jeff Rosner, co-founder of the AMP Awards and AMP East Coast Board Member, “We knew TiNY would come up with something unique, but they’ve truly outdone themselves. This campaign is clever, funny, and speaks directly to who we are as an organization.”

TiNY, in only its second year, has already earned a reputation for its nimble approach and clever creative executions. Their portfolio of work spans a wide array of industries, garnering praise for their innovative storytelling and ability to do more with less.

“The challenge of working with basically no budget wasn’t intimidating — it was liberating,” says Michael Stoopack, Partner/President of TiNY. “It pushed us to get scrappy, weird, and memorable, which is exactly what The AMP Awards needed.”

“The AMP Awards celebrate the magic of sound, so what better way to bring that to life than with talking ears,” Tom Christmann, TiNY Partner/Co-CCO, adds.

Notes Mike Rovner, Partner/Co-CCO, “It’s a love letter to every composer, sound designer, music supervisor, and audio wizard who makes our work sing.”

    Eligibility, Fees And Category Details
To be eligible for the competition, work must have first aired or been released between February 11, 2024, and February 9, 2025. The AMP Awards features 12 categories covering everything from original music and sound design to best use of licensed, pre-existing recordings, outstanding adaptations/arrangements, outstanding mix, and best artist and brand collaborations. The competition is open to work commissioned by a client for release via streaming or linear TV, digital, mobile, experiential, or other media able to deliver the moving image.

Winners will be presented at a gala awards ceremony, including live performances from top artists, scheduled for May 21, 2025, at Sony Hall in New York City.

Entries may be submitted by music production companies, audio post houses, composers, music supervisors, ad agencies, brands, record labels, sync companies, artists and artist managers, music publishers, design and branding studios, motion picture studios, streaming or linear television producers or networks, and public relations firms. Any individual or company creating or providing music and/or sound for commercials, branded content, promos or trailers, brand-sponsored experiential/live events, or digital experiences such as VR, AR, games, etc, are encouraged to enter.

This year marks the 12th anniversary of the AMP Awards. The Association of Music Producers was established to give voice to the companies that provide brands with the power of music and sound to engage audiences and drive home the effectiveness of their messaging.
