Reenactment Stock Footage.com, the world's first, and most-expansive licensable historical re-enactment and recreation HD library, has launched an all new website for 2017. The site features a dynamic new look to showcase the more than twenty different eras, and 400 years of history, offered. In addition, nearly the entire library of footage is now available on-line for potential clients to review and download.
The company also celebrated recent collaborations on a number of historical film series and documentaries -- including providing some historical HD stock footage for the hit Fox News Channel series’ “Legends & Lies: The Real West” and “Legends & Lies: The Patriots” from Executive Producer Bill O’Reilly. This series, now completing it’s third season, is a fascinating and eye-opening look at the truth behind popular historical legends from America’s past.
Also for 2017, the company has continued to expand its ever-growing bank of intense and cinematic HD military and home-front historical footage where collections include everything from Colonial America and Jamestown, to the American Revolution, the Civil War and Prohibition Gangsters. These new collections are exclusive and also include newly-shot 4K recreations with intensely accurate costumes, props, special effects and period actors.

The recent Emmy®-nominated Discovery mini-series “Patriots Rising: The American Revolution” also took advantage of the deep well of resources offered by Reenactment Stock Footage, and partnered with Hershberger (as Director and Costume Designer) to not only mine the HD stock collection, but to produce new historical re-enactment footage for the program.
In addition, the upcoming 2017 series “Killing Machines” from Australian producers WildBear Entertainment features hundreds of clips from Reenactment Stock Footage.
With the new website, Producers and researchers are able to browse categories and request on-line digital screeners of the time-coded re-enactment rushes, and immediately ingest the footage for editing. From intimate historical character vignettes to epic large scale battles, all of the historical collections are shot with expert cinematic composition and lighting. Some of these battles include more than 15,000 authentic re-enactors, cannons and hundreds of cavalry.
In 2015, the Civil War theatrical film “Field of Lost Shoes” included a substantial number of these large-scale battle scenes which were critical in completing the film on time and on budget.
