Born and raised just outside of Asbury Park, New Jersey, Dan Harary is a man of many talents. Best known for his 40-plus years of work in Hollywood as an Entertainment Industry Publicist and owner of the boutique Asbury PR Agency in Beverly Hills, Harary has also firmly established himself during the past two years as a successful author.
Harary has just released two new books: MY PARANORMAL LIFE: SUPERNATURAL STORIES FROM A HOLLYWOOD INSIDER (Bear Manor Media,) a memoir comprised of dozens of true supernatural tales of the strange and bizarre which he has experienced during the course of his life since five in 1961.
And
FIVE (Genius Book Publishing,) a dark-fiction novella presenting the story of Feival Vados, a serial killer from 1870’s Europe who becomes reincarnated one hundred years later, reemerging as the most famous Pop Music Singer in the world.
Harary made his debut as an author with the popular 2022 Hollywood memoir FLIRTING WITH FAME: A HOLLYWOOD PUBLICIST RECALLS 50 YEARS OF CELEBRITY CLOSE ENCOUNTERS (Bear Manor Media.) Articles about that book appeared in Newsweek, the LA Times, the New York Daily News, the Village Voice, the Hollywood Reporter, on KFI Radio, and in many dozens of other media outlets.
Dan’s second book, AFTER THEY CAME (Genius Book Publishing) made an immediate impact within the UFO Research community during 2023. ATC was inspired by a 1970 UFO sighting he had alongside his late father, Jack Harary. Dan believes his dad may have been involved with UFO reverse engineering during his 45 years working as an Electronics Engineer for the U.S. Army at Ft. Monmouth, New Jersey. ATC tells the story of two benevolent aliens who come to Earth to save the life of one sad man, and in so-doing, concurrently solve all of mankind’s problems.
To promote ATC, Dan was interviewed by many dozens of the most popular, paranormal UFO podcasters and radio show hosts around the world. ATC was covered by KTLA News, Coast to Coast AM, the LA Times, the UK’s Daily Mail, and in many other media outlets. The novel was endorsed by numerous top UFO/UAP experts including Nick Pope, Richard Dolan and Travis Walton, with the book’s popularity allowing Dan to personally befriend many of those UFO experts.
The success of After They Came blended in with Dan’s long-held interest in the UFO phenomenon. The result was his creation of The Hollywood Disclosure Alliance which officially launched in Fall 2023. Dan serves as the HDA's Chairman – the co-founder of the HDA is iconic Disclosure Advocate Stephen Bassett. With nearly 200 members located around the world, the HDA is a truly unique networking organization bringing together top UFO/ET researchers with Hollywood producers and filmmakers. The goal of the HDA is to ensure accuracy in storytelling with regard to the UAP/ET phenomena within future films, TV shows, documentaries, and books. The HDA is a 501c3 non- profit organization which operates based solely on donations.

About MY PARANORMAL LIFE
After Dan’s late Grandfather Joseph Harary (1896-1967) began haunting his Beverly Hills apartment during Spring 2003, Dan became convinced that “supernatural stuff” really can happen to normal people in everyday life. The evidence of his grandfather’s presence was so powerful, it could not be denied or simply explained away as his imagination.
Dan’s beloved dead grandfather had become a Poltergeist!
About that same time, Dan began to reflect upon the various supernatural, paranormal, truly odd and peculiar events that he had been experiencing since his childhood along the New Jersey Shore starting in the early ‘60s and continuing for decades thereafter.
