    Washington, DC -- (SPW) --

Edge of Reason, LLC is proud to announce that the PSA “The Other Note” is honored by the 60th CINE Golden Eagle Awards for Professional Media.

Established in 1957, the CINE Golden Eagle Awards honor originality and excellence in storytelling throughout the media industry. Selected by a distinguished jury of CINE Golden Eagle award-winning media makers and industry professionals, the 2017 recipients and finalists feature many of the most innovative and acclaimed films, series and campaigns of the year.  The PSA also won an ADDY, and a TELLY in 2017. It can be viewed here: "The Other Note"

“The Other Note” was named the Golden Eagle Award Winner in the category of Advertising, Marketing, and Special Events: Public Service Announcements and Non-Profit Promotion.

Past recipients of the CINE Golden Eagle Award include many of the industry’s most renowned storytellers.  For some, such as Steven Spielberg (1969) and Ken Burns (1981), the Golden Eagle was their first major industry recognition; others, such as Martin Scorsese (2006), Barbara Kopple (1992), Joshua Oppenheimer (2016), Morgan Spurlock (2015) and Spike Lee (1999) were honored well into their illustrious careers.

The production teams will be honored at CINE Celebrates receptions in New York, Washington, DC and Los Angeles this fall alongside the recipients and finalists of the 60th Golden Eagle Awards for Independent & Emerging and Student & Youth Media, who will be announced this summer.

    About THE DIRECTOR
Written, directed, and shot by Scott McCullough (http://www.scottmccullough.com), the project addresses the epidemic of Veteran Suicides and encouraging through a positive message to reduce that horrific number.  Produced by Windy Buhler with Executive Producing Partners Kip Doyle and Tim Wolf, the project features people who have a close association to the topic edited by Mike Hackett of Lucid Editorial.  Martin Sheen appears as the call to action for the National Veterans Foundation where he serves as an Honorary Board Member.

Brave Makers & Director Sami Abdou Invites Audiences To Experience The Multi-sensory World of Mariana Velásquez For Sur La Table

    Monday, May 11, 2026

An evocative new campaign created by Brave Makers for Kitchenware retailer Sur La Table celebrates noted cookbook author, food stylist and designer Mariana Velásquez with authentic style, heart, and a touch of magical realism. Aligned with the release of the Mariana Velásquez x Sur La Table collection, the central film explores Mariana’s origin story, including her Colombian roots and philosophy around food. A tastemaker who explores the juxtaposition of food, fashion and art, Mariana’s work is an edible canvas where she invites the viewer to eat with their senses.

“Mariana Velásquez is a creative force, a natural host, and someone whose love of cooking is so genuine it stops you in your tracks. For Sur La Table, finding a collaborator who shares our belief that cooking is an act of love and gathering is what makes life richer, and who brings that belief to life with such a distinct creative eye, that is not something you take for granted," notes Kristin Flor Perret, VP Brand Marketing, Sur La Table.

Directed by Sami Abdou, who also served as the editor and co-developed the concept alongside Brave Makers Founder and Executive Producer Justin Ross, the campaign includes the hero film, short-form social content, and video assets playing in Sur La Table stores across the country.

“Sami, Justin, and Brave Makers saw exactly what we saw in Mariana and captured it with the kind of artistry that turns a campaign into something people... Read More
