Sigma's New 105mm F1.4 DG HSM Art Lens
    Ronkonkoma, NY -- (SPW) --

Sigma Corporation today made the following announcements:

    1. Launch of interchangeable lenses for Sony E-mount camera systems with full-frame sensors
    2. Introduction of Sigma 105mm F1.4 DG HSM Art
    3. Introduction of Sigma 70mm F2.8 DG MACRO HSM Art
    4. New firmware version 2.00 for Canon digital cameras with Lens Aberration Correction

Sigma Interchangeable Lenses for Sony E-Mount Full-Frame Cameras
Sigma Corporation will gradually introduce the following Art lenses for the Sony E-mount digital camera series with full-frame image sensors:

    • 14mm F1.8 DG HSM Art
    • 20mm F1.4 DG HSM Art
    • 24mm F1.4 DG HSM Art
    • 35mm F1.4 DG HSM Art
    • 50mm F1.4 DG HSM Art
    • 70mm F2.8 DG MACRO Art (brand new)
    • 85mm F1.4 DG HSM Art
    • 105mm F1.4 DG HSM Art (brand new)
    • 135mm F1.8 DG HSM Art

While offering the same high-performance optical design as other lenses in the Art line, the new Sony E-mount models will feature a newly developed control algorithm that optimizes the autofocus drive and maximizes the data transmission speed. In addition, these lenses will be compatible with Sony’s continuous autofocus (AF-C) and high-speed autofocus, which are not addressed by Sigma Mount Converter MC-11. Like the converter, the lenses will be compatible with in-camera image stabilization and in-camera aberration correction, which includes corrections for peripheral illumination, chromatic aberrations and distortion.

Official press release can be accessed at: http://bit.ly/2CiaIgK.

The Bokeh Master with Longest Focal Length Among Sigma Wide-Aperture F1.4 Art Lenses
The brand new Sigma 105mm F1.4 DG HSM Art is the ninth lens in the Sigma F1.4 lineup. Designed for full-frame cameras and incorporating 17 optical elements in 12 groups, this lens offers minimal optical aberration and delivers incredible resolution and stunning contrast with a beautiful bokeh effect, making it an ideal solution for portrait photography. Featuring the Sports line level dust- and splash-proof design, this lens can be used during varying weather conditions. The high-speed, high-accuracy autofocus helps photographers react in an instant to capture those special moments.

Other lens highlights include carbon fiber reinforced plastic hood for durability; compatibility with Sony E-Mount cameras; and compatibility of the Canon mount lens with the Canon Lens Aberration Correction function.

For full product details and technical specifications as well as press imagery, please refer to the official press release at: http://bit.ly/2CiaIgK.

The First Macro Lens in the Sigma Global Vision Art Line
Elevating the legendary Sigma 70mm F2.8 EX DG to the Art line, the brand new Sigma 70mm F2.8 DG MACRO Art prioritizes optical performance that defines the Sigma Art line, delivering stunning resolution and incredible clarity, while at the same time offering extremely smooth autofocus performance for a weightier, high-performance lens.

To achieve optimal results at every shooting distance, the lens features an extending, floating, two-group focus mechanism, which minimizes aberration at all focal lengths. In addition, the lens’ optical elements design increases resolution at close shooting distances, allowing for a razor-sharp in-focus area contrasted with a bokeh area free of color streaking.

Other feature highlights include focus-by-wire system featuring newly developed coreless DC motor for comfortable and precise focusing typically required for macro photography; compatibility with full-frame Sony E-mount camera systems; compatibility of the Canon mount lens with the Canon Lens Aberration Correction function; and compatibility with Sigma Electronic Flash Macro EM-140 DG and Sigma Teleconverters.

For full product details and technical specifications as well as press imagery, please refer to the official press release at: http://bit.ly/2CiaIgK.

Release of Firmware 2.00 for SGV Interchangeable Lenses for Canon Cameras with Lens Aberration Correction
The three types of corrective functions available are for peripheral illumination, chromatic aberrations and distortion. By updating their lens firmware to version 2.00, customers with compatible SGV interchangeable lenses for Canon cameras can perform aberration corrections that match the optical characteristics of their lenses. In addition, by turning on Lens Aberration Correction before taking photographs, users can prevent certain image and operation errors.

Photographers can update the lens firmware by connecting their Sigma Global Vision lenses to a Sigma USB Dock (sold separately) to a computer with installed Sigma Optimization Pro Software.

A full list of Sigma interchangeable Canon mount lenses compatible with Canon Lens Aberration Correction as well as release schedule are available at: http://bit.ly/2CiaIgK.

Frame Theory Brand Refresh Embodies Creative Film Company’s Evolution

    Thursday, November 6, 2025
Examples of the new wordmark for Frame Theory, an award-winning creative film company specializing in multi-platform, human-centered storytelling for global brands.

The award-winning creative film company Frame Theory (formerly: The Frame Theory) has refreshed its brand, unveiling new visuals and positioning that reflect its evolution as a trusted storytelling partner. The refresh comes as Frame Theory refines its capabilities to serve a changing industry, after building a reputation for helping such recognized names as KEEN Footwear, Elijah Craig Bourbon and Alzheimer’s Association tell their stories through brand films, commercial spots and digital mediums. Watch a highlight reel HERE. “Just as the industry has evolved, so have we – the way we engage with brands and the creative strategy we bring to each project,” explained Frame Theory executive producer Sarah Nix-Ward, who founded the company alongside partner & creative director Brandon M. Ward. “It was time that our own brand more clearly represented those changes.” To take on this project, the team commissioned artist Brian Steely (Steely Works Brand Design), who is known for his iconic designs for Nike, Element Skateboards and other global consumer brands and touring bands. Steely created Frame Theory’s original raven logo almost a decade ago, which he updated with a modern, simple and yet sleek vibe before dropping “The” from the wordmark. “In many cultures around the world, the raven is considered the bringer of light, so we’ve always felt that was an appropriate mark for a filmmaking company,” said Brandon. “We wanted to keep the raven, yet evolve it for this refresh.” The additional assets Steely created nod to Frame Theory’s style of cinematic naturalism,...
