Simian's Brian Atton, Kellie Atton and Jay Brooks will share revealing data about showreel viewing habits during the pandemic on Simian's Reel Insights 2020 Webinar.

Anonymous analysis of one million reels sent last year tracks changes in viewing habits due to remove work environment, provides benefits to everyone using showreels to pitch jobs.

Laguna Beach, CA -- (SPW) --

Simian, the industry-leading video sharing and collaboration service used by advertisers, agencies, media companies, production houses, post studios and music providers, is hosting a webinar to present the findings of its most recent Reel Insights analysis of showreel viewing trends and habits.

Titled Reel Insights 2020 WFH Edition, this presentation is open to all in the industry. It will discuss how reel viewing was impacted by the move to remote working during the pandemic, and offers forecasts on how these changes will unfold in the hybrid working environment of the future.

The webinar will take place via Zoom at 2 pm ET, 1 pm CT and 11 am PT on Wednesday, June 9. The event is free to attend, but registration is required. To sign up, go to http://reel.io/__p9mCj.

Hosted by Kellie Atton, Simian’s Head of Sales, the webinar will include Simian’s Chief Operating Officer, Brian Atton, and Chief Technology Officer, Jay Brooks, who’ll be on hand to explain the methodology that went into the study and provide context for its findings.

Also on hand to interpret the analysis and discuss how it impacts their work are three leading execs from production, post production and repping: Bernadette Rivero, President of the live action production company Cortez Brothers; Tim Jacobs, Director of Sales for Optimus, One at Optimus and Optimus Design; and Ann Asprodites, owner of Asprodites Reps.

The webinar will provide an overview of showreel analytics and then dive into some of the key questions that anyone who’s ever pitched work via a showreel has wondered about. These include:

    • What’s the ideal number of spots to put on a reel?
    • What’s the ideal length for your reel?
    • When’s the best day and time to send your reel?
    • When are reels most likely be to viewed?
    • What’s the expected lifespan of my reel?
    • What are the viewership stats for things like mobile devices?

In addition to reviewing our Reel Insights findings, along with additional commentary and analysis from our webinar panelists, Simian will also be supporting this data with comments gleaned from our survey of over 100 agency Heads of Production.

Reel Insights 2020 is the fifth Reel Insights edition Simian has published. The company, which virtually invented reel analytics, is a leader in providing tools that help its users measure the effectiveness of showreels and make informed decisions during the sales process.

“The Slightest Touch” Wins Best Documentary at Dublin International Film Festival Following HBO Acquisition

    Monday, March 2, 2026
    Scene from "The Slightest Touch."

The Slightest Touch, directed by Rachel Fleit and edited by Sloane Klevin, ACE, has won Best Documentary at the Dublin International Film Festival, days after HBO Documentary Films acquired the television and streaming rights ahead of its world premiere.

The feature documentary, which chronicles the friendship between Colin Farrell and Epidermolysis Bullosa survivor Emma Fogarty, was honored by the Dublin jury with the following statement (in part):

“This next award is for an incredible film… One through which we as an audience came to know both protagonists in ways which would not have been possible, were it not for the unobtrusive talent of the director, who seamlessly documents a story as old as time itself… Rachel Fleit has captured the magic moments of this extraordinary friendship… What follows is an honest and at times searing portrayal of pain in all its forms and the power of humanity and humor to make lives better for all… The jury agreed that The Slightest Touch and director Rachel Fleit is the worthy winner of the documentary category of this year's Film Festival.”

Edited by Union Editorial Partner Sloane Klevin, ACE, the film continues Fleit’s long creative partnership with the company. Union President and Managing Partner Michael Raimondi and Head of Production, TV and Film Katherine LeBlond served as Executive Producers.

“What I cherish most about making The Slightest Touch is that it... Read More
