L.A. Shop Takes Home Top Industry Honors Recognizing Exceptional Innovation And Creativity In Entertainment Marketing And Design

    LOS ANGELES -- (SPW) --

It’s déjà vu all over again as Stun Creative, the creative agency, commercial and branded content production company based here, won PromaxBDA’S coveted North American Agency of the Year Award, the second time in four years. The award was given to Stun Founders Brad Roth and Mark Feldstein at the closing night of the PromaxBDA Conference on June 8 at the JW Marriott in Los Angeles. Stun Creative won the award for collecting the most individual PromaxBDA Awards overall.

“What stands out about Stun’s haul in 2017 isn’t just the quantity of awards it won but the variety,” PromaxBDA’s Daily Brief reported. “It’s clear Stun can do just about anything with aplomb, for any demographic,”

“Winning this award is all about teamwork, from our incredible and deeply talented staff who inspire and motivate Mark and I everyday, to our wonderful clients who we collaborate with hand in glove,” said Brad Roth. “With all the seismic changes happening in our industry, now more than ever we have to be committed to creativity, innovation and moving the pop culture needle.”

“There's so much amazing work being done right now in our industry it makes this special recognition even more meaningful,” said Mark Feldstein.

In 2014, Stun was named PromaxBDA’S North American Agency of the Year and its graphics and animation division Buster took home the Creative Agency of the Year prize in 2013. Since then the company has produced a string of ground-breaking work including a highly-acclaimed spot for the Netflix show The Santa Clarita Diet, and full 360 campaigns for People of Earth for TBS and for FXX’s 13 day 600 episode Simpsons Marathon. They also created a chilling out-of-home campaign for HBO's WestWorld, E! network’s first scripted digital series Hashtaggers, and Fandango’s ubiquitous campaigns featuring comic spokesman Miles Mouvay (aka SNL comedian Kenan Thompson). And last year, the agency capped off its enormous string of successes by being named to Snapchat’s exclusive Global Creative Partners, a roster of top-shelf social content creators that are producing Snap Ads for brands.

The PromaxBDA annual Awards are the world’s premier celebration of innovation and creativity in entertainment marketing and design. Eleven regional and global competitions honor the best marketers and designers working worldwide, as well as in North America, Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa, India, Australia, New Zealand, the North American local broadcasting marketing, and the electronic gaming industry.

The latest version of the Emmy Award-winning software delivers a new AI deinterlace tool, four updated AI models, a new compositing workflow in the FX Editor, overhauled warp and displacement effects, upgraded wipe transitions, and greater creative control in Particle Illusion. “As we continue to leverage internal AI technology to build new tools, we always keep the needs of Continuum’s editors, artists, and content creators at the forefront,” states Boris Yamnitsky, CEO and Founder of Boris FX. “We carefully choose which types of tasks benefit from AI workflows, such as image restoration and masking.
