The spirit of Lev Kuleshov was felt from coast to coast over the past week as AICE Chapters across the country and in Canada held their 2016 International Camp Kuleshov trailer competitions for assistant editors, graphic designers and audio mixer/sound designers.
He’s back! Lev Kuleshov – Russian film theorist, inventor of the ‘Kuleshov Effect’ and dead ringer for Bela Lugosi – has returned to challenge assistant editors, mixers and graphic designers in the second AICE International Camp Kuleshov trailer competition.

Finalists for the 2016 AICE Awards have been announced, and work from Editors Sam Ostrove of Cut + Run, last year’s Best in Show winner at the AICE Awards, and Editor Michael Reuter of EditBar has topped the list, earning four nominations each.

AICE has announced the roster of senior editors, audio mixers, colorists and effects artists who’ll be serving on the Curatorial Committee for the 2016 AICE Awards.
The 2016 AICE Awards reports today that a record number of entries have been submitted for this year’s competition for excellence in post production. The awards, which just closed its entry portal, now move to the judging phase, with finalists set to be announced in April.
AICE has just extended the deadline for entering the 2016 AICE Awards. The new final entry deadline is Tuesday, February 16, 2016; no extensions will be granted after this date.
