Veteran Producers Talk Covid-19 Safety In Post in Next PNYA “Post Break”
- Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020
Free video conference slated for Thursday, December 17th at 4:00 p.m. EST
Veteran New York producers will discuss how to manage Covid-19 safety during post-production in the next edition of Post Break, the weekly webinar series from Post New York Alliance (PNYA).
As film and television productions have returned to work, they have adopted strict protocols to ensure the safety of talent and crew. But what about post? Producers Luca Borghese and Gail Barringer will describe measures post-production companies need to take to protect staff and clients. They will discuss necessary protocols and costs, and offer their view on who needs to take responsibility for making it happen. PNYA Chair Yana Collins Lehman will moderate this vital session, scheduled for Thursday, December 17 at 4:00 p.m. EST. Following the webinar, attendees will have an opportunity to join small, virtual breakout groups for discussion and networking.
- Luca Borghese has produced more than a dozen feature films, including Diane for writer/director Kent Jones and IFC Films, nominated for two Independent Spirit Awards and winner of three prizes at the Tribeca Film Festival. His credits also include Monsters and Men for director Reinaldo Marcus Green and Neon, winner of a Jury Prize for Best Directing at Sundance, Goldie for director Sam De Jong, which premiered in the Generations competition at the 2019 Berlinale, and Minyan for director Eris Steel, which premiered in Panorama at the 2020 Berlinale and is slated for worldwide release in 2021.
- Gail Barringer produced more than 175 episodes of Law & Order: Special Victim’s Unit and seasons two through four of Person of Interest before jumping into the Marvel world with The Punisher and Luke Cage. She went on to produce Netflix’s revival of Tales of the City, Hulu’s Wu-Tang: An American Saga, and ABC’s Emergence. She is now back with Hulu for season 2 of Wu-Tang: An American Saga.
- Yana Collins Lehman (Chairman of the PNYA Board and President/COO of Trevanna Post) oversees strategy and operations for Trevanna Post in New York, Los Angeles and London. One of the industry’s most experienced post-production accountants, she has been providing financial expertise to feature films and television shows since 2004. She is an active member of Local 161.
