Documentary director Charles Frank’s deeply personal debut feature film, Somewhere With No Bridges, wins Audience Award at Salem Film Fest and continues festival run at BendFilm in October

    Brooklyn, NY -- (SPW) --

Brooklyn-based production company Voyager is delighted to announce that director and co-founder Charles Frank’s first documentary feature Somewhere With No Bridges was honored with the Audience Award at the 2020 Salem Film Fest following its world premiere there.

Somewhere With No Bridges begins twenty years after a beloved local fisherman, Richie Madeiras, goes missing off the shores of Martha's Vineyard. Director Charles Frank, a distant cousin, encounters Richie's kind, indelible spirit in the stories of family, friends, and the sweeping sea which has defined their lives. The film is a stirring, lyrical journey beneath the brusque, reticent surface of a New England fishing community.

“I couldn't have asked for a better place to premiere Somewhere With No Bridges than Salem Film Fest. Despite the pandemic, the staff worked tirelessly to bring the movie in front of a truly engaged audience of doc-lovers, many of whom have a personal connection to a New England community like the one explored in the movie,” said Charles. “Seeing the tremendous effort SFF placed on supporting and sharing the film makes winning the Audience Award all the more meaningful to me. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to Salem Film Fest and its incredible audience.”

“We founded Voyager to support filmmakers creating work they believe in. Charles’ unique perspective and empathetic storytelling style is what put Voyager on the map in the first place, and while branded content and commercials are our lifeblood, it’s always been our dream to expand into features and originals,” said EP and co-founder Andrew Hutcheson. “It’s fitting then that our first feature would be Charles'. Helping to support him and this beautiful story has been one of the singular pleasures of my career and I’m beyond thrilled to share it with the world.”

The film will continue its festival run at BendFilm in Oregon from Oct 8-25th where it has just been announced it will be in competition for Best Documentary. Tickets for virtual screenings will be available here in the weeks to come: https://watch.eventive.org/bendfilm2020

Morgan & Morgan’s “Power Move” Campaign Makes A Splash With a Merman Lifeguard

    Monday, August 3, 2026

Morgan & Morgan continues its unique, comedic approach to legal advertising with the latest installment of its national “Power Move” campaign. The firm's newest spot “Merman,” dives headfirst into the absurd and surfaces with the same sharp wit that has defined the campaign from the start.   The spot opens at a public pool, zooming in on the unlikely lifeguard on duty. He watches over the pool with the calm confidence of someone who was literally born for this job. The twist: he’s a merman. When a woman suddenly finds herself in “distress”, the merman lifeguard springs into action, diving into the pool and cutting effortlessly through the water to her rescue. Equal parts heroic and completely unhinged, the spot closes with the merman gliding her to safety followed by a perfectly timed dolphin call.   The campaign’s trademark closer quickly follows: “Having a merman as your lifeguard is a power move. Hiring America's largest injury law firm after an injury? That's a power move, too.” Read More
