Whitehouse Post has bolstered its London roster with the signing of editor Joe Walton.

Born and raised in Sheffield, Walton moved to London to study editing and post production at Ravensbourne University.  He began his editorial career while still in school, joining Whitehouse Post in 2012 as a runner, where he moved swiftly through the ranks to become a senior cutting assistant. In 2016, Walton relocated to Amsterdam to accept a role as Lead Editor at Wieden+Kennedy.

Joe has worked with highly respected directors like Reynald Gresset, Bruce Hunt, Mackenzie Sheppard, and Morgan Maassen, for top brands including Nike, Corona, Uber, Ford, and Facebook. A recent project for S7 airlines involved cutting a 6-part travel show for Alien and production company Popcorn Brain.  The project required 5 months of editing in English, translating the cuts into Russian for the client, then back to English for the masters. With over 40 million hits in Russia, the series was Staff Picked and won Best of the Month on Vimeo, and was featured across international trades. Another passion project, the mini-documentary “Johanna,” directed by Ian Derry was featured on National Geographic where it received over 75 million hits.

Walton looks forward to returning to Whitehouse, where he still feels like a part of the family, even after being away. "I formed great relationships with everyone over the six years I worked there," says Walton. "After spending just over two years working with the talented teams at Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam, it felt like the right time to return to Whitehouse and work on a diverse and rewarding range of projects."

Adds Whitehouse Post partner/editor Russell Icke, “We’re very happy that Joe has returned to London.  His talent has only grown during his time away, we know his best years are still ahead of him and can’t wait to see what he does next.”
