    This year’s CITD will feature the world’s-first “Women of UFOlogy” Panel, to be held on Friday, May 31, from 8:30 – 10:05 am. Hosted by Kelly Chase, Author & Podcaster of The UFO Rabbit Hole, the participants on this panel will be:

    The “Women of UFOlogy” Panel will showcase the diverse perspectives, groundbreaking research, and fearless leadership of women who have fearlessly navigated the realms of the unexplained. From trailblazing researchers and investigators to experiencers and advocates, these renowned women represent a spectrum of expertise and lived experiences, offering invaluable insights into the multifaceted world of UFO phenomena. They will shed light on the challenges and triumphs faced by women in UFOlogy, as well as the profound impact of their work on shaping our understanding of the cosmos. By presenting the “Women of UFOlogy” panel, CITD will honor the contributions of these extraordinary women and explore the pivotal roles they play in advancing the frontiers of knowledge and discovery. 

    In related news, the producers of CITD 2024 have also announced that the conference is now offering single-day passes for the very first time! This opens up the opportunity for more individuals to delve into the mysteries and revelations shared by leading experts and researchers in the field on an individual, by the day, basis, even if those guests are unable to attend the entire event.

    Contact In The Desert (CITD) is a yearly event which hosts the world’s biggest and brightest experts in alternative fields such as UFOlogy, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Ancient Civilizations, Future Technology, Space Exploration and more. The annual event brings thousands of attendees from around the world together in an environment that fosters discussion, open-mindedness, and the willingness to learn.

    Attendees of the three-day event will learn the latest developments from internationally acclaimed speakers and presenters, such as Richard Dolan, Caroline Cory, Whitley Streiber, Nick Pope, and over 60 other experts, who will inform and educate during more than 125 sessions of cutting-edge information.

    We sat down with designer, art director, and creative technologist Charmaine Regina as she outlined her creative approach for us. She walks us through how she's shifted the focus away from technicalities and instead uses design as a way to build relationships between people and brands. Her design skills go beyond traditional boundaries as she works across branding, motion, and code, treating brand identity as something dynamic. She discusses how her approach is grounded in experimentation, and outlines her deep sense of responsibility for how design influences perception, agency, and experience in an increasingly interactive world. When a project involves branding, motion, and code, where does your process begin, and why? I start with the interaction, not the motion. I’m less interested in animation as spectacle and more interested in motion as a consequence of behavior. I ask: What triggers movement? What does the user do? What does the system respond to? Where does friction, resistance, or flow live? For me, motion isn’t decoration — it’s feedback. It’s how a system speaks back. So the process begins by designing the relationship between a person and a system. Once that relationship is defined, motion emerges naturally as its expression.
