The Best Work You May Never See: Erich and Kallman, Director Doug Walker Visit Kids' Classroom For Kelly's Initiative Combating Work Inequality

This TV spot from global workforce solutions company Kelly paints a jarring and emotional scene in order to raise awareness that many American adults face inequality at work--based on the color of their skin, their gender, education, military status or criminal record.

Directed by Doug Walker of Caruso Company for agency Erich and Kallman, this piece takes us to a classroom of kids excitedly discussing what they want to be when they grow up. The happy scene quickly changes when their teacher matter-of-factly informs some of the students that their hopes and dreams simply won’t be possible, given the various barriers that they will inevitably face--be it a lack of mentorship, a (non-violent) criminal history, or a lack of higher-level education.

The :60 is part of a campaign highlighting how real and damaging inequity is, with the goal to provoke empathy and get business leaders to join Kelly’s Equity at Work movement. Kelly’s vision is a more inclusive workforce where brighter futures are the norm.
