The Department of Education launched the next phase of its teacher recruitment campaign, “Every Lesson Shapes a Life,” with a national U.K. TV ad titled “Tuesday” out of Havas London. The spot paints an intimate, wide-ranging portrait of a day in the life of a teacher and highlights both the unique nature of the career and the fact that no two days are the same. It stars Addison Brown, an actual science teacher from Bedford High School in Leigh, Greater Manchester.

Jennifer Black, managing director at Havas London, said, “Insofar as such a thing exists, we wanted to capture a ‘typical’ day in the life of a teacher – showcasing the creativity, variety and dynamism the career offers those within it on a day-to-day basis. By shifting our focus from one pupil (in the original spot in 2018) to one teacher, we hope we’ve captured not just the remarkable dedication of teachers up and down the country, but also the immense satisfaction they take from this uniquely rewarding and worthwhile career.”

The duo known as 32 directed “Tuesday” via Pulse Films.
