Top Spot of the Week: JEAN Directs "Action Figure" For Lifetime

Directorial trio JEAN turned out this two-spot package promoting Lifetime’s holiday movies as part of the network’s ongoing “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime” campaign. 

Created and produced in-house by Lifetime, the package included this tug-at-the-heartstrings spot, “Action Figure,” which introduces us to a boy who never goes anywhere without his favorite toy--a soldier that is his constant companion and best friend. Whether he’s playing his clarinet in recital, riding his bicycle or playing catch with his dad, he’s always accompanied by the toy soldier. As summer gives way to fall and then the Christmas season we see our boy happily going through life, but at the same time we sense a hint of melancholy in his spirit. This gives way to pure joy on Christmas morning, but not for the reasons you might expect. It’s someone other than Santa who makes this little boy’s dreams come true.

JEAN took on this assignment directly with Lifetime. (The directing team is with Community Films for U.S. representation.)
