Top Spot of the Week: Tim Bullock Directs "Armored Truck" For Lotto New Zealand, DDB

This latest spot in the “Imagine” campaign for Lotto New Zealand introduces us to two long-partnered armored truck guards who are once again on duty just a few feet away from a pile of money that can make their dreams come true.

The driver then abruptly goes off course, much to the alarm of his long-time buddy in the passenger’s seat. Are we witnessing a spine-tingling, spur-of-the-moment heist? 

No, instead it’s a financial windfall that’s legal. The driver has won the lotto and is honoring a promise he made to his fellow sentry long ago--to split the proceeds if he ever won the lottery.

This slice of life is based on a true story in which a Kiwi bloke won $15 million and kept his word, going halves with his pal.’

Tim Bullock of Blink directed “Armored Truck” for DDB New Zealand. The spot was produced by New Zealand shop Scoundrel.
