Three noted senior producers–Anh-Thu Le, Michelle Burke and Guia Iacomin–have been promoted to executive producers at TBWAChiatDay, Los Angeles.
“The promotion of these three individuals is testament to the years of creative and management excellence they have contributed to the broadcast department and our agency,” said Richard O’Neill, head of broadcast production at TBWAChiatDay Los Angeles.
Le has been producing for 14 years. Her career highlights include the Apple Brand campaign; International Olympic Committee commercials for Sydney’s 2000 Summer Games and the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Games; and the Nissan Altima launch. For the last three years as senior producer, she has managed and produced commercials and content for PlayStation, including the launch of PlayStation PS3’s “White Room” brand campaign; the PSP “Dustball” animation campaign; and numerous software titles for PS2, PSP and PS3. Other clients she has worked with include Infiniti, Samsonite, Mars, Bridgestone/Firestone and Limited Too.
Burke has been producing for 17 years. Among her noteworthy endeavors have been the Energizer “Benny the Bunny” and “Sightings” campaigns; the award-winning Sunkist “Pistachio” commercials; the Taco Bell “Chihuahua” launch; the Apple iMac launch with Jeff Goldblum; Jimmy Dean’s first “Sun” campaign; the Nissan Sentra “Waterfight” and Nissan Xterra “Hirshberg” commercials, as well as currently managing and producing Visa. She’s also brought many awards to the agency, including a Cannes Gold Lion, One Show, D&AD, Art Directors Club and Clios.
And Iacomin has been producing for 22 years. For 15 of those years, Guia was director of broadcast production at TBWAHunt Lascaris in South Africa, where she helped bring that agency many top international awards including a Cannes Gold Lion, a Clio Hall of Fame for the BMW commercial “Mouse,” One Show and D&AD honors. As a senior producer at TBWAChiatDay, Iacomin helped the PlayStation group win the coveted Purple Chair award for the Internet film “Giantology.” Most recently she has gained recognition for producing the Pedigree “Adoption” campaign.
“Dune: Part Two” and “House of the Dragon” Win 2 HPA Awards Apiece
Dune: Part Two and House of the Dragon each scored two HPA Awards during a gala ceremony at the Television Academy’s Wolf Theatre in North Hollywood, Calif. on Thursday night (11/7). The HPA Awards honor trailblazing talent in the postproduction industry, celebrating standout achievements in color grading, sound, editing, restoration, and visual effects across theatrical features, commercials, and episodics.
Dune: Part Two topped the Outstanding Color Grading--Live Action Theatrical Feature and the Outstanding Sound--Theatrical Feature categories.
House of the Dragon’s two wins were for “The Red Dragon and the Gold” episode which scored for Outstanding Visual Effects--Live Action Episode or Series Season, and Outstanding Editing--Episode or Non-Theatrical Feature (Over 30 Minutes). In the latter HPA Creative Category, House of the Dragon tied with the “Part Six: Far,l Far Away” episode of Ahsoka.
The HPA’s Judges Award for Creativity and Innovation honored Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour. This recognition celebrates the profound impact on both live and filmed entertainment that defined The Eras Tour, underscoring its exceptional impact on audiences and the industry. The jury issued a statement outlining their choice: “Celebrated as the cultural phenomenon of 2023, Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour set new records in box office sales, tour revenues, and attendance. The tour showcased exceptional artistry and innovation, making a profound impact on both live and filmed entertainment.”
