    Severine Reisp
    NEW YORK --

Cutter Entertainment has added director Severine Reisp to its creative roster of talent for U.S. representation spanning commercials and branded content. This marks her first production company representation as a director.

Reisp brings a decade of experience to her new roost, including serving as a creative producer and director at auction house Christie’s where she had the opportunity to direct spots for major brands in the luxury space such as Nike, Cartier, and Rolex and individuals like Richard Gere and Diane von Fuerstenberg, earning her three Telly awards showcasing her versatility in crafting compelling narratives across diverse media platforms.

Likening film direction to choreographing a dance, Reisp seamlessly blends storytelling and visuals to create truly immersive experiences. In Deceive, a 17-minute short film, she explores the journey of an abuse survivor using dance as a powerful medium for healing and liberation. Through this film, Reisp aims to raise awareness and foster a deeper understanding of the complexities of abuse. Deceive earned varied accolades, including honorable mention for the Audience Choice Award at the 2022 Yonkers Film Festival, nominations for Best Dance Film, Best Cinematography and Actress at the Paris Art and Movie Awards in 2021, and the Sarah Booth Fund’s Excellence in Editing Award.

Cutter Entertainment’s founder and executive producer, Hillary Cutter, said, “ What excites me most about Severine joining our roster is her proven track record of innovating within the luxury space, bringing stories to life in a way that not only showcases the glamor and sophistication of high-end brands but also adds depth and emotion to their narratives. Her approach to filmmaking – meticulous attention to detail, a keen eye for beauty, and unwavering commitment to storytelling – perfectly aligns with our mission to produce content that captivates and inspires. Severine’s addition to our team is not just a testament to our growth and commitment to excellence but also a bold step forward in our continuous pursuit of crafting impactful, visually stunning content.”

Reisp said, “I’m honored to become a part of Cutter Entertainment, a company dedicated to empowering female voices. Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege to refine my distinct style and directorial voice. I was fortunate to direct many videos in the luxury space, from the most sought-after jewels to high-end sneakers and bags, and fashion. By no means confined to a genre, I like to bring aesthetic precision and mesmerizing visuals to each project. I’m eager to join the ranks of Cutter directors, where I can continue to innovate, push creative boundaries, and craft compelling and inspiring content, while amplifying the voices of women in the industry.”

Reisp’s artistic journey began with a dedicated pursuit of dance, eventually leading her to explore the world of filmmaking. Realizing the global language of film and its power to resonate with audiences worldwide, Reisp accepted a presidential scholarship to attend Sarah Lawrence College, where she pursued her filmmaking studies. Shortly after, she earned her M.F.A. in Film from the City College of New York, directing several award-winning short films along the way. Reisp originally connected with Cutter Entertainment while she was a student attending one of its mentorship programs, Cutter Connections, in 2018 and returned this past winter as a mentor for its 2023 flagship event: Crossing Boundaries and Mixing Mediums.

Nexstar and Sinclair Bring “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Back To Their Local TV Stations

    Friday, September 26, 2025

Nexstar Media Group joined Sinclair Broadcast Group in bringing Jimmy Kimmel's late-night talk show back to its local TV stations on Friday night, ending a dayslong TV blackout for dozens of cities across the U.S.

The companies suspended the program on Sept. 17 over remarks the comedian made in the wake of conservative activist Charlie Kirk's killing. Disney-owned ABC suspended Kimmel the same day, following threats of potential repercussions from the Trump-appointed head of the Federal Communications Commission.

The move Friday means "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" will return to local TV on Nexstar's 28 ABC affiliates, from Topeka, Kansas, to New Orleans, along with Sinclair's 38 local markets, from Seattle to Washington D.C.

Kimmel's suspension lasted less than a week, while the affiliate blackout stood for just over a week.

When the boycott began, Sinclair, which is known for its conservative political content, called on Kimmel to apologize to Kirk's family. Taking it a step further, the company asked him to "make a meaningful personal donation" to Turning Point USA, the nonprofit that Kirk founded.

On the day Kirk was killed, Kimmel shared a message of support for Kirk's family and other victims of gun violence on social media, which he reiterated during his Tuesday return to ABC. He had also called the conservative activist's assassination a "senseless murder" prior to being taken off air.

Kimmel's original comments didn't otherwise focus on Kirk. He instead lambasted President Donald Trump and his administration's response to the killing. On his first show back Tuesday, the comedian did not apologize, but did say "it was never my intention to make light of the murder of a young man" and acknowledged that to some, his comments...
